I just took a pregnancy test 1:20pm and I know I'm supposed to take it in the morning but I just had a sudden urge to take one when I was supposed to be waiting until tomorrow.
I'm going to take another one tomorrow morning with FMU

BUT PLEASE IS THIS A LINE?!?!?
I'm absolutely sobbing as I had a MC in Oct/Nov2020

Hi love,

I hope you're doing ok. I can see you had a miscarriage late last year so I know this morning all sorts will be going through your head. I've had 2 miscarriages and 1 successful pregnancy and it was pretty common for my lines to get stronger then weaker during the early days (after the miscarriages I would drive myself nuts taking tests to try to guess if I'd miscarried again).

Try to use your digital or preferably FRER (if you have one) for your next pee.

The advice that you usually see is to wait 48 hours and test again. I know for me I could never wait that and in the early days would test for every pee Blush Unfortunately, it's only time that will show the line getting darker.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you!

thebestnamehere · 12/02/2021 07:09

I don't normally comment on these as I can never see one, but I can definitely see a faint line
Congratulations!!

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:09

@Covidcabana
I just don't understand what's happening! 😭
I don't have FRER as I don't know what that is but I have a proper stick test- should I use that? I still have the pee in the cup- should I try now?

@thebestnamehere
That was I was sure of yesterday but now the lines are so so so much lighter they are almost gone this morning....

Have you tried the digital? FRER is a first response early response test

minisoksmakehardwork · 12/02/2021 07:15

Oh sweetheart. I was all going to say congrats cos on your first pics, I could see the lines but now I can hear the panic in your words.

I know you are excited and terrified at the same time. If you can, leave testing for a couple of days. I wonder if you're testing with every wee or using different brands which can show different strengths of line. So...

Breath deep, cross fingers and don't test for a day or two - easier said than done. Then do a fmu test. Hopefully that will give you an answer.

So... a cautious congrats from me. Fingers and toes very definitely crossed.

Bettina500 · 12/02/2021 07:16

Try not to panic, hormones can fluctuate at this stage.
Look at the back of the test packets you've got and see what the sensitivity is. You were right that the digitalis are less sensitive than some others. I would re test with whatever the most sensitive is.
You could always wait until later in the day too, I got my strongest lines in the afternoon.

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:18

@EachBleachBlairTrump I want to save the digital until I tell my fiancé
And okay thanks. I don't have any of those. I just have a few cheapie stick ones

OP posts:
SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:20

@minisoksmakehardwork thank you
I'm not using different brands as I used the same as what I did for yesterday's tests

And no yesterday's wee was at 1:15 and today's was 6:45 with FMU so it was only 2 lots of wee I tried

I've got dentist tomorrow so I need to know as I'd have to tell them and it is my 1 year engagement today so I was so desperate to tell him today 😭 now I'm going through this not knowing what's happening on my own

OP posts:
SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:21

@Bettina500 okay I'll try with afternoon wee today and see what happens. I just feel like I'm dying inside and now I'm wide awake and can't even go back to sleep

I'm not sure what tests are the most sensitive I have

OP posts:
Covidcabana · 12/02/2021 07:22

I would second Bettina - my strongest lines earlier on were with afternoon pee's. Most tests now don't need FMU and the longer you leave it the more hope your hcg will be higher.

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:23

@Covidcabana okay thank you I'll give it a try. It's just the waiting now that's driving me mad already...

OP posts:
MsChatterbox · 12/02/2021 07:24

My strongest were also in the afternoon. Good luck 🤞🏻

Covidcabana · 12/02/2021 07:26

Oh the waiting is torture!! It's so corny but try and be kind to yourself today and do nice things for yourself to distract. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you - those first few days of not knowing are so tough.

Fembot123 · 12/02/2021 07:29

Good luck

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:31

Thank you all, I'll try just keep myself busy today 😭 just feel sick

HT1507 · 12/02/2021 07:45

@SweetSunflowerBoo hi .. sorry you’re having a stressful time! I used internet test strips and was getting squinter lines for a couple of days, enough to think there was something but not enough to let myself get excited about it.

I then used a Clearblue early detection test and got a definite positive, and a Clearblue digital test which said 1-2 weeks. That was the reassurance I needed! The results on the digital showed for about 24 hours so if you take it earlier in the day you should still be able to show your fiancé later.

I really hope you get your definite BFP! Good luck Smile

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 07:47

@HT1507 thank you for your message, I've got a digital and some cheapie Poundland stick tests but I'm worried about wasting the digital and it not showing up so I don't really want to risk it

My doctors open in 10 minutes so I'm going to ring and see if I should get a blood test

OP posts:
Lostinspace23 · 12/02/2021 07:51

I know this is super hard - as someone who ttc for 6 years and had three miscarriages. There is nothing you can do but wait. Hang in there Flowers and good luck.

The doctors will not help you and general practice are very stretched at the moment dealing with Covid vaccination and other pressures so I wouldn’t bother them. All they will say is test again in a few days.

Bettina500 · 12/02/2021 09:12

I completely understand you want to know. Try and not wee for a few hours, don't drink too much to dilute it, then give it a try.
It should say on the test packets what their sensitivity is. I think the digital ones are 25mlU whereas some of the early ones are 10mlU

Sparrowfeeder · 12/02/2021 11:15

Same thing happened to me - line with afternoon wee yesterday, very very faint this morning with fmu. I find with opks I get better readings later on in the day so hoping it might be same for me and hcg too. I am a night person not a morning person so maybe my hormones are too! I also had an mc in dec so understand the angst.

Good luck!

SweetShopSurprise · 12/02/2021 11:27

OP, I would try and hold your wee from about 3pm-7pm today and only drink small sips of water every now and again so it’s not diluted and re-test with whatever you’ve been testing with previously. If you can get to a boots or other chemist in the next few hours and get a couple of FRER’s (first response early response) they’ll be your best bet as they tend to be the most sensitive.

SweetSunflowerBoo · 12/02/2021 12:51

Took a FRER!!!! 😍

Looks pretty positive! I always got stronger lines in the afternoon too, and my tiny squinter is sleeping on my chest at the moment while I watch Netflix.

Congratulations! Thanks
