TTC after implant removal

Hi, I’m 28 and TTC#1. I’ve recently had my implant out after 10 years. The last one was actually due out March 2020 however I didn’t get it removed until feb 2nd 2021.

I know it’s only been a week , and have been told you can fall straight away, but I’m just wondering if anyone had been in a similar situation to me.

I have no clue as to when I would be ovulating as I never had a period whilst on the implant, nor have I since getting it taken out. I’ve been using ovulation sticks for a week now and all have been negative.

I’m just so Impatient and was wondering about other people’s experiences for getting their first period or ovulating etc.

@MsRT hi! Funny you should check in, as AF arrived last night. So I'm just hoping my body is starting to get back to some normality now. Going to wait until its done and start using the OPK's religiously!

Implant has been out just over 3 weeks, so hopefully your body follows suit soon x

@DanniF02 Yay! Glad to hear that it has arrived. Hopefully things will start moving back to normal now.

I have been using OPK's (I'm so impatient haha) and I think I may have ovulated last week but we shall see!

@MsRT Aww hopefully you did, fingers crossed. I relaxed a little with the sticks just cos I told my self I was wasting my time until AF had arrived.

You’ll have to let me know how you get on, it’s all very exciting but nerve racking at the same time x

I got my implant out on 9th Feb (was due out last aug) and I've just started my period today. Its really painful though!

I had a regular 28 day cycle when I had the implant in, so this period was actually a bit late so glad it has arrived so I can start tracking.

Going to use the Ovia app, fingers crossed! Good luck to you too

just come back here to see check how everyone else was getting along! i had my period 2 weeks before getting my implant out and now had nothing since getting it out - so it's over 5 days late. on day 35 of my cycle and have never wanted a period so much haha!! i even took a pregnancy test to make sure. hoping it comes soon.

@DanniF02 I know exactly what you mean. I tested for a bit because I had some signs of ovulation but I wish I hadn’t now in a way as I feel like I’m going to be religiously testing!

@SEC89 I know exactly what you mean about wanting a period. I had mine out on the 10th so a day after you but I rarely had periods whilst I had it so it’s difficult so see where I would be in my natural cycle. I hope that AF comes soon for you! X

how's everyone getting on? has AF arrived? mine hasn't yet! implant has been out for 26 days and i'm on CD45 but i think i ovulated 6 days ago as had pains. so i guess i'm in the TWW now.

Hi AF arrived 25th feb, currently on cd13. Been using opk’s, not getting anything close to a positive result yet, however, I’ve had some EWCM from late last night, so I’m hoping I’m close to ovulating. Going to DTD as much as possible over the next few days.

These long cycles are a nightmare

@SEC89 no AF here yet either! That's good news. Let's hope you ovulated and you get a BFP soon!

@DanniF02 EWCM is a good sign! Fingers crossed that you get a positive OPK in the next couple of days. I've had some for the past two days and got quite a high OPK this afternoon but I'm sure my body is playing tricks on me as I thought I ovulated just over 2 weeks ago haha!

@DanniF02 They really do! haha. how are you getting on with OPKs? I've just done another test and it's definitely looking darker but I wouldn't class this as 'peak' though. Really hoping it gets stronger x

@MsRT my OPK's just don't seem to be getting any dark it's so frustrating! Just need to keep going with them. Trying not to worry about them too much, but it's easier said than done. Had EWCM today too! So we're just DTD as much as we can and hoping for the best.

That's such a good opk, mine are nowhere near as dark! Keep DTD as much as possible, fingers crossed for you xx

@DanniF02 EWCM is definitely a good sign! I've had it for a few days before this surge so I'm sure you'll pick it up over the next few days! It's so frustrating waiting for it though

Just did another test (I can't help myself haha) and I'm sure it is positive. Got everything crossed that you get yours too in the next couple of days but it's look promising for you! Xx

I thought I'd update you all but I definitely ovulated after that last post and I got my BFP this week. Honestly can't believe it and I'm just praying it is a sticky one.
