Hi Just wondering if anybody is going through what I am. I started TTC towards the end of August my last AF before that was around the 4th of August. Now it is the 1st November and I have had no AF since. I have done numerous pregnancy tests and they are all a BFN. I have never had this happen before and I am so confused by it. I went to see my doctor yesterday about it and I am having a blood test done on the 12th of November to see what my hormones are like FSH, LH, thyroid, etc. My doctor said that sometimes the body can go into a fake pregnancy if someone is TTC its like a stress related thing. In the meantime I feel as though I am going crazy thinking about it, and wish I hadn't got to wait so long for the blood test as its another 2 weeks before I get the results. Anybody experienced no AF and consistent BFN.

I had a 91 day cycle when TTC, the doc said it can just happen. It was very stressful though. But My AF finally came and the next cycle i got pregnant.

I think its just a case of waiting unfortunatly!

I had a 71 day cycle recently whilst ttc and I think it was because I stressed. I hadn't realised just how stressed I was.

Try and do things to relax, book a massage, go shopping, drink some wine. Whatever helps you relax, do it. Stop testing as well (easier said than done I know)

My Dr wouldn't give me blood tests, was very "well it'll either happen or it won't" about the whole thing which really didn't help me de stress. So your lucky your Dr's taking it seriously and having some bloods taken.

Since my 71day cycle I am now on my 2nd 35day cycles so they seem to be fine now.

Been there too.

I think this is likely due to hormonal imbalances which have always been in the background. In this regard a condition called polycstic ovaries is a common culprit.

Would urge you not to keep testing as seeing repeated negatives is disheartening.

Stress in itself would not make you necessarily go without a period for so long. Its your hormones that are to blame.

I would say to you also that when you get the blood test results back the GP must compare the LH level against that of FSH. If these two are swry (particularly if LH is higher than FSH) then that is a strong indicator as to why your periods are absent.

You should also be referred to a gynae at a subfertility unit for further evaluation.
