Hi! Joining for this month! TTC #1 since Oct 2020. Currently 9dpo and trying to put off testing as I don’t want the disappointment!

2 more BFN today 😣 must have been a faulty test! That or a chemical 😢

I have what looks like a very faint evap line though today on the one from last night

@Dogmum13 hi! Are you planning on testing or just waiting to see if AF turns up? I am torn! I think I probably will test before I am due as I would prefer to know ahead of time if AF is coming as I was pretty upset and disappointed last month. Going to try to wait a few more days though! Fingers crossed for you!

@RHODXB hang in there, if you're 11DPO there's still chance.. so annoying though I feel for you 💜.

After having last cycle cut short 5 days early and AF arriving at 9DPO I'm so confused on dates for this month! Gonna need about 9000 OPK's this time to make sure I catch things right 🤦🏼‍♀️.
CD4 for me now (should be CD29/12DPO 🙄).

Thanks @glow92 it's so hard not to just keep clutching isn't it! I really think I might have caught this month even if it hasn't stuck as I do feel pregnant! And this was first month using OPKs so def worth it I think!

@RHODXB my first time using them too, didn't plan to use them every month but I'm going to have to I think now my dates are messed up.
Hope you get answers soon.

@Billythecat I've been testing from 10dpo every other day until af shows up the past couple of cycles because I want to see if I even have any chemicals

@Dogmum13 that’s a good idea, I would want to know that too. I think I will be testing over the next few days, just have mixed feelings about it as a BFN is crushing, although so is AF and I would prefer a warning if that is coming . Maybe I will test tomorrow morning if I remember first thing! Good luck

Jumping on the Feb bus! AF due on the 16th. No idea where I'm at or what I'm doing this month but I'm feeling chilled about it! OH birthday is on Friday so that is keeping my mind nice and busy!

Hi ladies, I hope you're all well and staying sane wherever you are in your cycles.

I have just popped in for some advice.
So I'm on CD5/6 of cycle #2. Last cycle I thought I would wing it and see how it goes.
This time I bought some Femometer strips from Amazon and I used one today to get the feel of it for a little later in the cycle but....is this correct/normal? Shouldn't it be in the 'low' section rather than high (even though I know it's only 15%).
I've never used anything like this before so just checking in reading it right.
Any advice is much welcome! I'm not going to rely on this and will DTD every other day but...help!

@BWaiting I haven't used femometer, but the picture definitely looks like a 'low' reading.
I've found they can be affected a lot by lighting/background etc. I use premom and I got a couple weird readings at first...keep going and go by the lines you see 🙂.

Has anyone gone from ovulation tests to some form of semen* every couple of days till period pitched up?

*the boyfriends an icu nurse & there may be days where physical sex isn’t possible.

Welcome @Billythecat I'm 9-11dpo (depending on which app, I didn't properly ppl last cycle) but did a test yesterday and was bfn so going to wait a few more days now and try and be patient... Meaning I'll probably cave and test again tomorrow! No will power. Fingers crossed for you and @Dogmum13 too the next few days.

@Bubblemonkey I looked into this (ie googled lots) as DH was away in December fertile week but I got the impression sperm don't live long enough outside the body to work unless done professionally at -80 etc temps. You might have to find a way to tempt him even after a very long shift!

@RHODXB it looks like it has a second line on that CB. Have you got any pink dye tests left? They’re way more reliable.

The plan is to get him to business into a pot after work 😊 quicker than sex after a 13hr shift.

Did it take anyone a while to get the hang of OPKs? I tried using them for the first time this month. Started on CD12 like the pack suggested and have tested 7 days in a row - all negative. We DTD anyway in fertile period and now in 2WW but feeling a bit confused and not that hopeful. Maybe I need to try testing earlier next month.

@organised5 which ones are you using? I use the Clear Blue smiley face ones, they’re more expensive but much easier to read! I ordered a pack today for FW next week and they’re on offer on Amazon at the mo xx

@BWaiting how long are your cycles? CD 5 sounds early so a low reading would be normal. I only seem to only get high/peak the day before I ovulate, the 4 days before are sort of 'medium'. Other people get high for a week and then a bold peak for a couple of days. It's just about seeing what's normal for your body. Cycle length is a good indicator for when to start testing though x
