ttc with PCOS... tips?!

hi all!

so I'm currently ttc my second little bean (first will be 3 in a few days).
we have been trying for over a year, i never went back on contraception after having my first, but breastfeeding and PCOS meant my period didn't return for 13 months.

i got diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago and fell pregnant with my first whilst on the pill. however since having her my PCOS has been exacerbated and i have gained 8 stone since having her and my periods are more messed up then ever.

normally i have a period ever 2-3 months but recently i came on on Christmas day, then had another period 2 and a half weeks later.

im trying to lose weight (when am i not!?) ive taken metaformin ( didnt work for me) i take inositol powder, ive recently been told about agnus castus. is there anything else?! any other tips?
ive spoken to my GP about it all and he was as much help as a chocolate tea pot!

im surrounded by people declaring their BFP and its chipping away at my heart :(

thank you for any help and advice anyone can give!

Hey, not sure I can help but didn't want to read and run. It sounds like you're already doing loads to help sort it. I have PCOS too, but find that keeping weight down and taking inositol is enough to keep it under control, but I know this isn't the same for everyone. Have you been on the inositol a while? It took maybe 3 months to even start working for me I think, and the effects are not super noticeable. I just found that I was able to lose some weight after that, rather than none.
And sure this is obvious, but do you combine exercise with better eating when trying to lose weight? I find that exercising off the extra cals (rather than just eating less) has better results, but of course that may just be me!
I haven't tried it, but I've heard good things about the specific PCOS diet. Have you given that a good go?
Sorry I couldn't really help. The GP should though! Could you try another GP?

Not got PCOS but have a fair few friends that do - a low GI/low carb diet seems to work for most of them?

Your biggest hurdle will be timing BD to random ovulations - are you doing anything to track them?
