Hi all, anyone else 1dpo? Is it to early to test 😂
Thinking of testing at 10dpo on the 3rd of feb... if I can wait that long

@Firsttry132 it's my first one myself and i honestly think I'm going to struggle, so no particular expertise here other than I hear ya Grin

I think I am just going to try and ride it a bit this month but also try and keep it healthy - I know my personality - I am impatient, easily excited, anxious - I can try all sorts of things but I just know I'm going to convince myself I'm pregnant, test early, bee initially disappointed and then get over it. My only real plan is: get stuck into my hobby (gardening) especially stuff I won't be able to do later in the year IF I were to be pregnant (shoveling soil and horse manure around a load of raised beds for example - the glamour of my life). And I think I'm going to try and plan when I will test and try and stick to it - I think I will test on Monday morning which will be 8DPO (I know faaar to early) and then assuming negative, test again Fri morning (12 DPO) as I don't work Fris and then assuming negative leave it be unless AF doesn't arrive. I think if I have this plan I'll avoid randomly wanting to test at other times!

Oh and I've got a lovely bottle of my fave red wine in stock so that if AF arrives, at least I can have a nice drink.

Katierose34 · 26/01/2021 09:09

Apart from trying not to eat everything in sight, noSmile
Try to keep busy but it is extremely hard.

lolateddy · 26/01/2021 09:14

@Firsttry132 it really is so hard especially in this climate at the moment. I'm trying to keep busy, lots of film watching, book reading and nice walks with the dog. But I do get to the evenings and find myself on mn symptom spotting lol. This has been a year and a half on and off trying so I'm getting a bit impatient now. I just want to be a mum Smile

purplepoppet92 · 26/01/2021 11:22

@Firsttry123 I am just trying not to think about it tbh! I have a date in my head that I can test on (testing early), and have just put it to one side.
I also am aware that following my MMC I don't want to test too early and discover a CP.
It won't matter when you test - what will be will be! What's the rush? When you do finally get your positive test, you are then sat waiting for scan date/booking appointment etc!
I am by far an expert, but I am trying really hard to remind myself that there is no rush!

Firsttry132 · 26/01/2021 12:52

@purplepoppet92 yes that’s very true, I think that was the problem with my CP I tested early and then got sooo excited, ended up telling work, both sets of parents, and cancelling a holiday (stupid I know!) and then the bleeding came ☹️ What will be will be x

Islandvgirl · 27/01/2021 08:35

Hi lovely ladies!

Gonna join here - AF due 1st Feb and I spot during ovulation so I know I’m around 8dpo. DP and I aren’t actively trying to conceive but just letting things be (still get rly nervous during ttw haha!)
Have some strange symptoms but not as strong as when I had (what gyno thinks) a chemical in December. Till now a little nauseous, strange cravings (olives and cheese Confused), and fatigue (I am literally in bed at 8.30pm and nap in the afternoon!!)

Wishing all you ladies luck!! May everyone have the BFP they have been hoping for x

Katierose34 · 27/01/2021 08:40

Anyone else already got children?
The past 3 days I have been exhausted, iv been in bed by 9pm and yesterday fell sound asleep on the sofa for 30mins.

Islandvgirl · 27/01/2021 10:24

@Katierose34 - I don’t have any children. How many do you have?
Are you also in TWW?

purplepoppet92 · 27/01/2021 10:45

Omg I feel like I'm going mad! I am so hormonal - flipping between angry and tearful, then exhaustion.
I did a whammy today and got so frustrated at a co-worker that she cried.... I am now mortified and its only 10.45am

...Happy Wednesday people

Katierose34 · 27/01/2021 11:03

@islandvgirl I have two ds from a previous marriage, age 12 and 9 xx

Bellesjp · 27/01/2021 11:42

@Katierose34 we are trying for our first 😊 ive been the same being exhausted but only 3dpo so think I’m just tired from work 🙈

Sallyjo27 · 27/01/2021 13:10

Hi ladies, was absolutely boiling in bed last night- I know progesterone can have that effect. That’s always been my first “symptom” before a BFP. Although I’m only 3/4dpo so definitely think I’m symptom spotting 🙈

Hey lovely ladies hoping I can join in this chat for some support during this nervous time! I'm around 1-3 days PO and due AF around 8-10th feb. This is my first time TTC @Sallyjo27 I was also really hot last night- had to open the window!! Best of luck to all of you! Xx

Islandvgirl · 27/01/2021 17:32

Some exciting symptoms on here ladies!
When is everyone planning on taking a test? X

GreenLemons · 27/01/2021 17:42

Trying for our first since November.
3dpo today and I’m trying my best not to symptom spot as it’s FAR too early.
Miscarried summer 2019 after 10 months of trying so I’m really trying to be realistic about how long this may take and not drive myself too crazy.

Anyone got any tips on tww?!Grin

Katierose34 · 27/01/2021 18:09

@islandvgirl I'm trying to hold out until next Thursday, that will be 2 days before af is due. I have a 1st response that I will use

roxybear · 27/01/2021 18:27

@Islandvgirl I'll try and hold out as long as I can but to be perfectly honest prob the earliest and most realistic time I can test 🤣 I have ZERO patience!

Steamedhams · 27/01/2021 18:36

Do people here rate first response tests? I have the cheapie amazon tests knocking around. I'm wondering if they are worth a try?

Islandvgirl · 27/01/2021 18:38

Good luck then ladies! Hope you all get BFPs xxxxxxx

Firsttry132 · 27/01/2021 20:32

@Islandvgirl I’m gonna try wait and wait until AF is due, my cycles are pretty regular so seems silly to me to waste tests by doing them early when I could just wait! Sick of doing them for AF to come literally MINUTES after doing one 🙄 once I even started AF mid test x

Islandvgirl · 27/01/2021 21:08

@Firsttry132 - oh god that sounds awful! :(
Totally agree with testing after AF is due. After a CP in December, vowed to myself that I wouldn’t ever test early again.

hels301990 · 27/01/2021 21:31

Does anyone else find themselves torn between being really positive and focusing on this month being the BFP month and almost trying to imagine getting your period so you're sort of prepared for the disappointment to...does that even make any sense 3DPO rambles!!

roxybear · 27/01/2021 21:38

@hels301990 yes! All the time 🤣 I had no idea I'd be like this!

Katierose34 · 28/01/2021 19:06

@hels301990 ues🙄 it's horrible. I start calculating mat leave and everything each month only to be let down by af and last month for the 1st time ever my af was one day late... I'd convinced myself the preg tests were all wrong then low and behold a day late she arrives!! I was furious 😂

hels301990 · 28/01/2021 19:13

I know!! I'm like 3/4 DPO and I looked up when my due date would be...10mins later I added tampons onto my weekly shop (whilst hoping I won't need them!) 🙈
