Conception and anti-depressants

I've just started trying to conceive my 3rd child and am hopeful that we've succeeded 🤞🏼 we shall see. My concern is that I'm currently on 50mg of sertraline although I'm in the process of slowing coming off it. I thought I had time to come off it as my 2nd took 18 months to conceive! Has anyone been in the same situation? Do I need to ask my doctor about coming off sooner or switching to a different anti-depressant?
Any help will be much appreciated, thanks 😊

No 100% solid advice I'm afraid but watching with interest as I'm currently in the same boat. My understanding was that Sertraline doesn't impede conception but might have an impact on libido - be interesting to hear others' opinions!

I spent 9 months trying to conceive without any antidepressants in my system as was worried about them having an effect on conception. Went back on them- Sertraline 100mg a day and conceived the 2nd month of being on them, typical HmmGrin
Came off them within a few weeks after testing positive because of concerns about taking them during pregnancy despite hearing that they are considered safe. Good luck xx

Also, sertraline is one of the safest antidepressants to take in pregnancy so wouldn't stress about coming off them quickly if you do want to come off them

Omg I asked pretty much this same question 3 days ago. Except I am on 100mg setraline. Placemarking. Good luck OP x

I’m on sertraline too. Didn’t know it could cause an issue with ttc ☹️
