We are currently ttc. I'm 40 this year. I got pregnant with my first and second pregnancy on the second month of trying and my third resulted from a split condom!

We've been trying for a few months now and nothing yet. I'm wondering if it's my age now? Is there anything I can do to help?

If you’re not already, take a daily minimum dose of 200mg ubiquinol. It’s not cheap but is the best thing out there you can take to improve egg quality. It’s recommended for older women ttc.

I’m 38 and also took a high dose folic acid and high dose vit d.

I also bought the OvuSense monitor so I could track my temps accurately and ensure I was in fact ovulating as normal.

After 3 losses I went to my gp who referred me to a fertility consultant and I had several blood tests and scans. All ok. My oh did a semen analysis test, all ok. We were told it was likely my age and quality of eggs seeing as I had 3 children already from a previous relationship.

I do believe the ubiquinol helped. I got my latest bfp this cycle.

If you’re over 35 and been ttc for 6 months you can see your gp and they may do at least the basic blood tests etc which can highlight some issues.

Good luck. After falling pregnant with 1-2 months with each of my children, this time ttc took me 16 months.

@Moominmiss thank you for replying. I'll look into all of that. And Congratulations on your bfp!
