AF every month 27th
Last AF December 27th
positive ovulation test Jan 15th. DTD 14th & 15th. AF due Jan 27th.
When is the earliest you would test?
I'm definitely not imagining it but have more discharge than usual, stomach always rumbling even while eating. Gas, horrendous low back pain and cramps. Sorry if tmi.
I know alot is common AF signs....but you know how it is when you are hopeful.
Thanks x

@imalmostthere

I have my fingers crossed for you!! There's lots of threads about people getting BFP at 11dpo! Even if it is a negative it doesn't mean you can't be pregnant might just be a bit early.
My AF is due in a week and not sure if/when I should test. I feel totally fine except it feels like someone is sitting on my lower stomach but otherwise dandy lol I'm convinced we didnt DTD enough so i feel relaxed bc I'm not expecting a BFP this month.

What symptoms do you have? X

@MaltyJones92

Thanks *@Sesamechick* *@imalmostthere* - still no sign of AF but did do another FRER late morning today and again, BFN 😭 I know these tests are super sensitive so I really think I'm out for the month but I'm just having a longer cycle than usual. I want it to hurry up so I can concentrate on next month!

I discovered this website the other day if you're interested. You may have already seen it, but it gives you an idea of how likely a BFP is depending on DPO: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=10

It's kind of reassuring if you're like me and get tempted to POAS too early 🤣

Thanks for the link.... still wouldn't stop me from POAS 🤣 Any sign of AF??? How you feeling?

MaltyJones92 · 23/02/2021 12:01

@Sesamechick haha me too - I've been testing every day since Sunday 🤣 No AF so I'm now a day late. Only have one FRER left so don't want to waste it just in case. I did a cheapo One Step strip mid morning and got nothing. AF usually sneaks up out of the blue and gives me hell, so I have a feeling that might happen at some point this afternoon - fun! I dread to think how much I've spent on pregnancy tests recently.

imalmostthere · 23/02/2021 16:11

Constant nausea, and indigestion. I'm honestly a bit all over the place. We decided to try for a third, and then got some news (I can't go into this as its outing) but it changed everything quite substantially. We then decided to wait a couple years before trying. This possibly pregnancy is actually from a split condom, on the day I ovulated, and I was too embarrassed to admit that a 30yo could be in this position. It sounds so irresponsible- but when I realised I might be pregnant I was then excited even though I don't know how we would actually manage. I'm really glad I joined this thread, just because it's actually making me excited rather than terrified By the possibility. I am very sorry I wasn't upfront and I hope you guys understand and aren't upset by this. I would always rather say I was trying to be pregnant rather than accidentally through fear of being judgment. I know you are all trying and really wanting a BFP and I didn't want to be insensitive, but honestly talking to you all has helped. I will absolutely come away from the thread if anyone would prefer as I understand it may be upsetting to those trying. Sorry for my rant - and I really am hoping you all get your BFP this month. Xx

@imalmostthere

Cant really write now but will message later. Just got home from taking DS14 to A&E. Sprained ankle 😬
Anyways just wanted to quickly reassure you there is nothing to be embarrassed about, nor do you owe any of us an explanation! No judgement from me!! Please don't feel bad!

Talk soon... x

@Sesamechick I'm so over emotional at the moment and your lovely message made me cry. Thank you so much ❤️
I do so hope your ds is ok xx

MaltyJones92 · 23/02/2021 20:30

@imalmostthere you should definitely not feel embarrassed about something like that! I think the nice thing about talking on here is that you can be totally open. I also echo what @Sesamechick said - you shouldn't feel the need to explain yourself ❤️

Update from me - AF showed (a day late) this afternoon, so I'm out for this month. Here's to cycle number 6!

Anyone got any tips on what else to try? I keep hearing about preseed so may give that a go...

Crossing my fingers for the both of you 🤞🏻

imalmostthere · 23/02/2021 22:00

@MaltyJones92 I'm sorry af arrived Thanks
Thank you for your kindness also.

Have you tried lying with your legs against the wall after DTD? I did this with my first two and i fell pregnant both times first time. I'm sure it's just down to sheer luck - but worth a try!
I also hear good things about the lubricant you can use before sex which helps carry the sperm on its way.
Crossing my fingers for you for cycle 6 ❤️

Sesamechick · 23/02/2021 22:07

@MaltyJones92

So sorry AF showed lovely. How you feeling? Just think....you'll be POAS in about 2/3 weeks again!
I've read pomegranate juice is meant to help and SMEP. Never tried it and only heard about it recently when I came across a post on Mumsnet.
Lots of others saying when they stopped trying, they were less stressed and fell pregnant.
I'm so sorry and hope you aren't stressing
x

@imalmostthere

Sorry about the short message earlier but I hated that you thought you would be judged here!
Accidents happen whether its forgetting to take pills, split condoms etc who are we to judge?
You really owe no one any explanations or tell us anything about your life for that matter!
I'm glad you are here and hope you are finding support.
Must be a difficult situation for you and esp the wait. Ugh its so frustrating!! I hope whatever happens, you are at peace with it. Like you said, we dont know your story (we all have a story!) Nor your circumstances. I remember a few years back i was talking with my in laws (i adore them!) And i said something like oh I'd love more kids. The room got silent and the only noise was their jaws hitting the floor hahaha they were shocked. I've never made it a secret that I would love a big family but my husband has only just gotten on board with #4 (my first 2 are from my first marriage!) I do worry because I'm 38 and DH is 44 but hoping for the best! I dont even know ehat my point is..ive actually lost my train of though i am so tired 🤣
Basically you are welcome here with no judgement and we will be here for you regardless of your outcome!
I promised myself I wouldnt symptom spot but today while driving DS to hosp, i thought i was going to puke. Got this horrendous wave of nausea. Been on and off all day. Cant eat. Have a throbbing headache as well. I keep telling myself im just overtired....which i am!!

Sorry for so much rambeling 🙈

imalmostthere · 23/02/2021 22:33

@Sesamechick don't apologise - safe space to ramble as much as you like! And we are here to listen. I really appreciate your kindness, you and @MaltyJones92 ❤️ it's making the wait and the nervousness a little bit easier.
Whatever happens I am really positive you'll get your BFP soon, it's impossible not to symptom spot! I've been so crampy for days, feels as if I'm about to come on but it's a week away! I've done a fantastic job of convincing myself I'm pregnant if I'm not 🤦🏻‍♀️

Very sweet of you to come on and message @Sesamechick - thank you, and you must be exhausted! Get some rest and I hope ds ankle isn't too sore tomorrrow xxx

Emerald4512 · 24/02/2021 09:39

Got a negative today. Gutted. (Due on tomorrow) x

When is the earliest you would test?
Sesamechick · 24/02/2021 11:36

@Emerald4512

Such a horrible feeling lovely but you're not out till AF shows!
Do you have any symptoms? Xx

OP posts:
Emerald4512 · 24/02/2021 12:29

I now have covid so it's hard to tell!

Giraffe888 · 24/02/2021 13:36

Hi ladies

Am I ok to join?

I got a positive ov test last Thursday so should have ovulated on Friday which means I’m 5dpo.

My cycles are usually 26 days which would mean AF is due on Sunday. My LP has always been on the short side.

Fingers crossed for everyone

MaltyJones92 · 24/02/2021 16:29

@Sesamechick I'm feeling fine now thanks - was a little gutted yesterday but just ordered some Preseed today to see if that'll help 🤣 Would love next month to be the month as I'm planning on rescheduling our wedding (was supposed to be this Friday) to end of May so would be a lovely time to announce it! Also planning a much smaller party so wouldn't be so worried about not being able to drink.

@Emerald4512 sorry to hear about your negative and bloody Covid on top! But you never know - some people get BFPs very late.

Hi @Giraffe888 - I'm a similar cycle length to you - 27 days mostly but varies between 25-28. I've been a little worried about my short LP recently but I have read that it doesn't necessarily cause complications. I am going to try and research different foods/vitamins to try this month to see if it makes it any longer though.

imalmostthere · 24/02/2021 16:47

So sorry @Emerald4512 that you're poorly as well!

Welcome @Giraffe888 ❤️

Took a FRER Today, 6 days before period is due as written on the side and it's a BFN - I didn't get BFP until much later with my other two children so I know to not test early as my body doesn't pick them up - doesn't stop me doing it though does it?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Giraffe888 · 24/02/2021 17:15

@MaltyJones92 my LP has always been short but hasn’t affected me. I’ve got one DS already.

Sorry you’re having to re-arrange your wedding. A pregnancy announcement at your re-arranged wedding would be lovely!

@imalmostthere I’ve bought some tests today but I’m not planning on testing until at least Sunday.

With my DS I got my BFP at 12dpo

Mamaforever · 24/02/2021 18:08

Hi ladies! I’ve been watching quietly for a few days now, so thought I’d finally ask for some advice!

I’m 12 dpo today with AF due on Friday! I tested this morning with FMU with a primark test (pink) and then later on after holding wee for a few hours on a wilko test (purple)

I do have a FRER but saving that for tomorrow morning.

What do we think ladies?

P.s. the purple test has got a lot darker since I took this image but I’m not sure if that’s just because it’s dried?

Thankyou!!

‘Primark’ was meant to say Poundland 😂😂

imalmostthere · 24/02/2021 18:22

@Mamaforever HUGE CONGRATULATIONS- both BFP 🎉🍾🎊🥳

MaltyJones92 · 24/02/2021 18:57

@Mamaforever I'm definitely no expert but from what I've seen on these forums before it deffo looks like a BFP! Congratulations ❤️🙌🏻

MaltyJones92 · 24/02/2021 18:58

@Mamaforever So funny - I was like, Primark do pregnancy tests now!? 🤣
MaltyJones92 · 24/02/2021 19:01

@Giraffe888 ahh that's good to know! I only started worrying about it this month after doing the dreaded Google search and seeing all sorts of doom and gloom. At least I know it shouldn't be an issue 👌🏻

Giraffe888 · 24/02/2021 19:38

@Mamaforever looks positive to me too. Congratulations 🥳

@MaltyJones92 nope I don’t think it should cause you a problem! Certainly didn’t for me x

Mamaforever · 24/02/2021 19:43

Thankyou so much everyone! I’m over the moon!!

@MaltyJones92 must be texting about primark a lot... lol!
