Does anyone else feel like you’re just constantly trying and it doesn’t happen!? My cycles are never regular so I don’t know when I ovulate..I have sex every other day and it just doesn’t happen. Been trying for 9 months and nothing.
Starting to get me down and I feel like it’s never going to happen for me Sad

@Dede23 if you aren't tracking ovulation are you just DTD several times a week? Or are you basing when to DTD on an average day 14 ovulation?

I'm asking because often the reason women don't get pregnant is due to having sex at the wrong time. Hopefully this holds true for you. If not then it's still early days, give it another couple of months and then speak to the gp.

GrapefruitGin · 14/01/2021 19:17

AF arrived today, a week too early. I’m gutted... again.

Madeoftea · 14/01/2021 19:27

Hi everyone!

I'm getting fed up too, had my first ever squinter on a cheapie test at 11dpo this morning but now I've got cramps and spotting and AF is usually around this time.

It really does seem like it's happening for everyone else, and whilst I know that's not true its always reassuring to know you're feelings are valid!

GrapefruitGin · 14/01/2021 19:31

@Madeoftea ahh sorry you feel like that too. You’re not alone, I find it hard when I see yet another Instagram announcement!

Madeoftea · 14/01/2021 19:43

@GrapefruitGin seeing announcements is so hard isn't it. I always feel like it's so easy for other people but I'm aware that people don't share their stories and how long it takes them to get there.

Sorry your AF arrived early. At least its the start of a new cycle!

truetuesdays · 14/01/2021 19:46

Yes same been trying coming up to 18 months and not even a hint of a line.

We are gonna give it another 6 months then pursue IVF. Paid privately for fertility checks and all came back OK so have no idea what the issue is.

Funnily enough I'm starting to feel more positive about it this year- although pregnancy announcements are always a kick in the nuts.

GrapefruitGin · 14/01/2021 20:49

@Madeoftea you’re absolutely right, can’t assume everyone gets lucky first time round. Yes new cycle, new mindset... had a proper wobble earlier but I’m always very emotional during this time of the month! I’m trying to plan out a better DTD schedule for this month without it feeling like a chore.

@truetuesdays so pleased you’re feeling positive and I think it’s great you have a plan set in place although I really hope you get your BFP sooner than that Smile

truetuesdays · 15/01/2021 10:03

@GrapefruitGin thank you!! Me too haha

Only just started using the clear blue ovulation tests so think we ought to at least try with them for a bit before jumping into treatments. I do still hold out hope and positivity for conceiving naturally but we will see Smile

1992EM · 17/01/2021 20:18

@grapefruitgin so sorry AF arrived. 😔 I also struggle with announcements . Had someone very close to me announce recently and it hit me hard. Then I felt so guilty for feeling like that as I genuinely am happy for them .

I am 9dpo and nothing to report. Any symptoms can also be AF which is due on Friday . Will probably test if I am late . I don't really like testing early x

GrapefruitGin · 20/01/2021 11:56

How’s everyone doing? Any good/bad/interesting news?! Smile

Madeoftea · 20/01/2021 17:28

Hi @GrapefruitGin how are you doing??

I got my bfp on Friday! Had a bit of a mare with spotting and cramps and I've had to have tests at the EPU but fingers crossed and I'm cautiously optimistic!

lambo88 · 20/01/2021 19:47

I would get the clear blue ovulation tests that give u smiley faces so u no when ur ovulating and don't have sex to frequently so the sperm has time to build back up (sorry for the details) xx

GrapefruitGin · 21/01/2021 12:53

@Madeoftea omg congratulations! Sending lots of positivity your way and hope everything is ok.

1992EM · 17/02/2021 07:36

@madeoftea Congratulations ❤ I hope you are keeping well.

I have just done a frer this morning and it is positive ❤ I am in a bit of a dream world at the minute . Just hoping it is a sticky bean xx

Flittingaboutagain · 17/02/2021 07:41

Hi OP

Just to give a bit of hope. About to hit 20 weeks pregnant after 2 years trying. One MMC in that time at 12 weeks. The only thing that worked was having sex about 25 times in the 3 weeks I possibly could have been fertile and ignoring the ovulation sticks.

Best of luck.
