Me and my husband are looking at starting a family and as I've been on the pill since I was 17 (I'm in my 30s now) would it be wise to book an appointment with my nurse before hand just seek more advice about it all or will I be wasting their time with what is going on in the world at the moment.

@midnight90 congratulations on making the decision to TTC.

I personally see no need to talk to a nurse. I mentioned my plans to TTC a few months from then to my GP at my most recent smear test and the only thing she told me is to start taking folic acid three months before, and that although I could technically get pregnant straight after my implant is removed, it is very normal for it to take up to a year.

Wishing you good luck on your TTC journey!

Thank you for your advice 😊also may seem a stupid question but what does TTC stand for, Ive been reading in some of the chats and some have put DD and DH no idea what that stands for 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can't imagine there is anything they can tell you that isn't pretty easily available online i.e take folic acid, don't drink too much, eat well, exercise etc. I can take a while for your cycle to get back to normal.
