BFP the next month after chemical pregnancy - is this good or bad?!

notveryrelaxed · 09/12/2020 21:25

Just looking for some advice or a handhold, got a BFP today, very early as not yet 4 weeks - exactly the same as last month when I started my period less than a week later. Seeing it as positive that it’s happened twice (and this would be my second baby so I know I can get to term) but wondered if it’ll just happen again this time.

I know the only answer is wait and see really but just wanted to see if anyone had had a similar experience?

Thanks xx

I am currently in the same situation, chemical last month and this month even though I promised myself I wouldn't test early I did test at 12DPO and got a strong BFP. I am hoping that the strength of the line is reassuring as last month it was very faint at the same stage....can't offer much more than a hand hold...fingers crossed for both of us! This will be my third so same as you I know I can carry to term. I'm planning to test again when my period is actually late, last time it was showing negative by the time my period was due and then my period was maybe 3 days late.

notveryrelaxed · 10/12/2020 10:55

Ahh fingers crossed for you too then! It’s so hard not to test every day but it’s a waiting game isn’t it. Hopefully this is all a good thing long term whatever happens!

Just bleeding from a very early chemical (first period postpartum so guess I was “lucky...”) so interested to see responses.

Good luck x

notveryrelaxed · 12/12/2020 21:27

Oh great @JChina - everything crossed!

So sorry to hear that @LividLaughingLove, horrible feeling however early but hopefully good sign for next few months xx

I had a chemical then a positive test the very next month & had a healthy baby girl so it's definitely possible. I had a few positive tests a couple of days before my period was due, two days after it would have been due I started bleeding but that ended up being my LMP date for my next pregnancy.

Good luck & hope things turn out how you want them to Smile

Thanks so much for your story @Jsh125, really helps to hear it! Smile xxx

My pregnancy is straight after a chemical and I'm 28 weeks with LO wriggling about in my stomach 😊 it's scary (especially after another MC prior) but it can happen.

I, myself, was a pregnancy straight from my mum's CP and I'm still here 😂

Good luck 🤞

Thanks so much for replying @User43210 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’ve had 3 chemicals, I’m still hoping I can carry one that sticks x

JChina · 13/12/2020 13:49

So reassuring to hear these! I am now paranoid about lack of symptoms apart from being tired...but plenty of time for those I guess!

cwhri · 13/12/2020 13:58

I had a chemical and got a bfp the month after! unfortunately that one was ectopic. fingers crossed you have a sticky one xxx

You're welcome OP.

Please don't let this worry you, I had awful symptoms so early with my first and that ended as an MMC.
This pregnancy I was worried about my lack of symptoms, but everything worked out well! (And when the nausea did hit, I was thankful it didn't last too long and wasn't 24/7 this time)

Hi Ladies. So great to read about positive experiences here. I found out I was pregnant 3 days ago, great strong line on a FRER but am now bleeding so assume this was a chemical. What a harsh reality. TTC #1 so this is all new to me. Hope we all go on to have happy healthy pregnancies xx

emeraldcity2000 · 13/12/2020 17:57

Good luck op! My first was conceived a month after a chemical and my second the first try (second cycle) after a miscarriage at 10 weeks. Both perfect babies.
It's hard at the time but chemicals and miscarriages are statistically really good signs - you can conceive and the vast majority of women then go onto have healthy, full term pregnancies. Those stats helped me a lot, especially after the miscarriage.
Good luck! X

notveryrelaxed · 13/12/2020 19:45

Thanks @emeraldcity2000, I read that about the stats so staying upbeat and this thread is helping me stay calm so thanks all!

@JChina don’t worry too much about symptoms, it’s very early for that I think, for my first one it took til more like 8 weeks. This time I feel a bit achey as I think things will relax quicker second time and I’m thirsty but that’s it! x

pookypup · 13/12/2020 19:51

I had 2 chemicals and then a third pregnancy the next month which is going well so far - currently 14 weeks.

It’s so hard, and I didn’t believe it was actually going to stick until I saw a heartbeat at an early 8 weeks scan.

The very best of luck to you, it absolutely can happen.

JChina · 14/12/2020 15:05

@notveryrelaxed thanks - I actually find it hard to remember, even though my youngest is only 3. I am feeling very tired, but that's about it so far. I think nausea kicked in at about 6 weeks. How are you doing?

notveryrelaxed · 14/12/2020 18:15

Thanks @pookypup

@JChina you forget so fast I think! I’m good thanks, tired and achey but I think good signs!

Hi @notveryrelaxed How are you getting on? Was it a sticky one?
I'm near the end of my TWW after a chemical last month. Would love to hear how you are doing

notveryrelaxed · 06/01/2021 14:00

Hello! Yes it was :) Had an early private scan today actually and they're measuring me a little ahead of where i thought at *w 2, heartbeat good and all well. Exciting!

How are you getting on? x
