Hi all this is my 1st post. I’ve been through an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks treated with mexthotrexate and not surgery. I was wondering what type of follow up anyone else has received from their local hospital. Blood HCG levels are normal now but do they check your Fallopian tube as a matter of course? As wanting to try for another baby at some point in time when things have settled down

I had surgery for mine so I’m sorry I haven’t got experience to share from follow ups by this method. But I know it’s a really horrible thing to happen so didn’t want to read and run! Sorry you had to go through that and wishing you all the best going forward x

@Mumof2littleredheads sorry to hear that you've had to go through this 💔 I had an ectopic in February, also treated with methotrexate. Once my HCG levels were down to 0 I was discharged and that was that, I never even thought about asking them to check my tubes but maybe I should have! Obviously waited the 3 months to start trying again and now on cycle 7 trying since then so you may have a good point, might be worth asking!

Sorry you have gone through this 💙 from what I know they don’t offer tube checks on the NHS unless you have had persistent infertility. They never offered when I had mine back in April and just basically said their next involvement will be when I get pregnant again they will give me an early scan at 6 weeks

Thankyou for your replies maybe it’s me just being over cautious . My head is all over the place. When you’ve had two healthy pregnancies you don’t expect something like this to happen I guess x

I believe they only check your tubes if you are having trouble conceiving. X
