Hi,

First time poster, I hope I am doing it right.

I had my DD a year ago and recently got a checkup where I was told I have POCS. I was suprised, as I have been checked up very much in my life and all doctors says everything is perfect. I have never had any symptoms exept after I got my period back half the time I do get some light bleeding mid cycle. That is why I went to checkup.
The doctor was very vague, said people are born with it and it never goes away. He expressed his surprise I have never had any symptoms and I concieved on the first month I started trying.
Now, anyone with knowledge with POCS, could this be temporary? Could it just come after birth? I do have lots of stress as I havent slept a year (DD does not sleep good). I am thinking of trying for another baby at some point and now worried I might have some problems. Could I do anything? I am very healthy and active already, so only think I can think of is getting good sleep, but that does not depend on me.

Thank you for any help!

No PCOS is not temporary. It's a syndrome so incurable but can lie dormant if your hormones are level - likely that pregnancy has caused hormonal changes resulting in symptoms now showing.
Its not an automatic slide to assume you would then need fertility help at all. Which factors did they diagnose on and did you have blood tests done?
A standard healthy diet isn't enough for PCOS management - need to avoid likes of refined carbs etc and manage things like friot intake due to the insulin resistance aspect
