Hello,

First post on here so please be kind!

I have regular-ish cycles (usually 31-34 days) and have done since I stopped taking the pill a few years ago. We started TTC a few months ago but hadn't really taken it seriously (tracking ovulation etc) until this cycle. I started taking Pregnacare last month and having read up on it it can mess with your cycle - I'm currently on CD46!!! Ive stopped taking it and will just take usual folic acid. I think I ovulated around CD38/39 based on EWCM so we DTD twice over 5 days of seeing this CM.

My question is - when do I take a pregnancy test? I assume my period is due about 14 days from what I think was my ovulation day but with my cycle being so weird this month I'm not sure? Feeling very confused! Has anyone else had this issue with Pregnacare? Could I still get pregnant if I ovulated so late?

Thank you x

Lots of people have the issue you described when they take Pregnacare conception vitamins.

If you ovulated CD38/39 then I'd recommend testing from CD50/51 onwards. And yes you can definitely get pregnant after late ovulation.

Good luck! Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you so much for your response Curiousity...the wait to find out is just killing me! I seem to be surrounded by pregnancy announcements :(

Waiting to test is definitely the worst bit ☺️. Only a few more days now! You could always test from CD48/49 which would be roughly 10DPO but that won't give you a reliable result.

Statistically 12DPO is the earliest you can get a reliable result. 🤞
