BFP after chemical pregnancy!

LuluF91 · 26/11/2020 15:56

So, I'm back again! Thanks to those of you who responded to my last thread, where I likely had a chemical pregnancy as period was about a week late and I had faint positives. I'm in the same situation again...my husband can't see what I am seeing and I have 2 apps. 1 app is telling me my period is due tomorrow and another is predicting a 31 day cycle and that I'm 11dpo. I'm inclined to think the latter is correct as I an tracking ovulation also on this one. Anyone care to lend me their eyes and spare me heartbreak this month?

@LuluF91 I can deffo see that - I had two negative FRERS 10/11 dpo and got my BFP at 13 dpo... Hope the line progresses! Good luck 🙏🏻🙏🏻✨

LuluF91 · 26/11/2020 18:23

Thanks! I just went back to check on it and its much clearer but I know I shouldn't trust that. Tomorrow seems so long away for testing!

Congratulations ❤

mummytonicekidz · 26/11/2020 20:21

I would do another test . I know my recent test did say not to read the pregnancy test after 10 minutes as that can be unreliable.

LuluF91 · 26/11/2020 20:26

The test underneath is taken within the tie limit :) I'm sorry about my spamming of the wrong photos 😆

They're definite early positives 🥰

LuluF91 · 26/11/2020 21:19

I'll take a photo of tomorrow's test and update you ladies. I have my first of 3 12 hour shifts tomorrow and dreading the big cut in caffeine!

There is Definetly a faint line
on the test.

thisislovelyme · 26/11/2020 21:54

I see it! How exciting!

LuluF91 · 27/11/2020 05:17

Hi there! So the lines remain faint but definitely there on a FRER and clearblue. I hope I'm just a little early in testing and the lines will be darker soon!

Everything crossed for you OP, I really hope things work out this time for you! And good luck with your 12 hour shifts xx

mummytonicekidz · 27/11/2020 07:11

Maybe leave it a few days and rest again?

mummytonicekidz · 27/11/2020 07:12

Maybe leave it a few days and rest again?
That should be test not rest
LuluF91 · 30/11/2020 08:13

:( I started cramping and bleeding this morning. So it's not stuck. Considering phoning the dr with this being the second time in a row now.

MamaMoonbeam · 30/11/2020 09:42

@LuluF91 sorry you're cramping 😔 this is why I won't test early any more. Chemicals are heart breakers. Go easy on yourself xxx

mummytonicekidz · 30/11/2020 12:21

It would probably be a good idea to get the doctors opinion. Good luck.

LuluF91 · 30/11/2020 13:04

I definitley won't be doing this again next month. I can't stand it and to have one of my colleagues ask me if I was sure i was pregnant was a kick in the teeth. I told the dr about it as I spent years trying for my first and required surgery but got told its not unusual but a 3rd would justify investigation even though I have a history of infertility.

Hi @LuluF91

I'm in a similar position. I've had 4 chemical pregnancies within 6 cycles. I'm currently under a recurrent miscarriage clinic and am doing tests to see what's going on.

I had a termination for medical reasons beginning of the year and had to have a procedure to remove retained placenta 8 weeks later. Since then, I've had these 4 CPs. I kept thinking with the first one my lining just wasn't sufficient. With the second one I thought ok, my body just wasn't ready. But now after the 4th I'm convinced that something is wrong.

The consultant I'm under has suggested to take part in the CERM trial which is a clinical study to research a condition called Chronic Endometrisis, a chronic inflammation of the uterine lining which can prevent the blastocyst from fully implanting, causing an early loss. It's doesn't really have any symptoms.
I had never heard of this before, yet it all seems to match with what's happening to me. Where other people including some professionals wouldn't encourage people to test early/until missed AF, I personally think for me this is the way to get the treatment I need. If I wasn't testing early, I wouldn't be aware that there was an issue. (Or I would as in two of these CPs I went past my AF due date but then started bleeding a few days later...)

There can of course be other issues like progesterone insufficiency (isn't in my case because I had been given progesterone for the last cycle).

I guess what I'm trying to say is, everything might be normal or might not. Maybe speak with your GP to see if you can have some blood tests done or he referred to a RMC for further investigations. Most GPs only offer box standard blood tests whereas RMCs go into much more detail like Vitamine insufficiencies, sticky blood etc.

I don't mean to scare you with all this information, but I know that I have been through the pain of having this happen 4 times now (no issues with the first two pregnancies sticking!) and am grateful for any information that can help me bring closer to another child.

Hi there,
Sorry you've been through all that. I do wonder if it's endometriosis come back as I only conceived after I had surgery to remove it. I'm pretty numb about it right now, I feel like with my history it would warrant investigations now but that goes against their guidelines etc.

I hope you conceive soon. Are you going to participate in the trial?

OP posts:
NoCallerID · 03/12/2020 12:12

@LuluF91 sorry I've only just seen this.

Chronic endometrisis is different to endometriosis, I don't have endometriosis so not sure if it would warrant further investigations. For me, and I suggest this could be an option for you too, I have recently contacted my GP to get in touch with the consultant at my local hospital who treated me for the previous MVA procedure. It's a painfully long process in this country (not slashing the NHS but in my home country things work very differently and more efficiently...) and I've just found that things need to be pinpointed and pushed here. If you're still local to where you had your endometriosis procedure, this will all be on file and it won't hurt to ask your GP for a referral to see a gynaecologist. Do I understand it correctly that this was the second time this has happened? Some NHS trusts accept a referral to a recurrent miscarriage clinic after the second one, for others it's three. It's definitely worth it trying to push for this just to get the ball rolling. Referrals can take a long time especially with Covid.

I've got my appointment tomorrow and am likely to accept the trial. We'd prefer to go private but it seems this is not as easy for this particular condition as we'd hoped.

Any updates OP? I’ve conceived after chemical and just hoping to hear any successful pregnancy stories afterwards 🥰
