Hi,

Hope you can help. I know I'm just being crazy as no one can tell me definitively but losing it during the TWW 🙈

I sadly lost my wee boy at 18 weeks in July. We've been TTC since September. I got my first ever positive ovulation test this cycle luckily, and so right now I think I'm 8 dpo. When I fell pregnant with my wee boy my telltale symptom was NO cramps as I usually get them before AF.

I'm having cramps this cycle but I know they can either mean AF or a pregnancy. Can anyone remember if their BFP symptoms were different for different pregnancies? Or are our bodies always the same when it comes to telltale signs? Needing some sort of hope until I can test on Monday 😭

Thank you xx

Sorry to hear about your loss Flowers
Based on my experience mine have been different, 1st pregnancy boobs so sore I couldnt stand water hitting them in shower and morning sickness at same time in morning. 2nd pregnancy boobs not so bad and rather than sickness I had nausea off and on all day and also waking me up at night. Hope you get your BFP soon

I had one symptom (light headed) that was the same in all 3 but the rest of mine were completely different for each pregnancy Smile

Also sorry for your loss.
Yes, every pregnancy was different as was every birth. My first I had no morning sickness at all, but horrible fatigue. My second I had severe morning sickness and was fainting due to abnormally low blood pressure. My third I had constant nausea but was never actually sick and had horrible joint pain. My fourth I had no morning sickness but had a lot of fluid retention and got very puffy.

Thank you so much for your replies ❤️ That's reassuring to know that maybe cramps don't always mean I'm out every month just because the absence of them was what indicated it last time!

I don't know why I do this to myself 🙈 9dpo and BFN this morning, know it's still early but suppose it's helping keep my hopes down a bit. Been signed off work for a few weeks until after my due date passes - it's funny how everyone says not to let TTC take over your life and just to "relax" but that seems absolutely impossible 😂

Thanks again :) x

Wishing you luck TTC. It’s hard to relax. Also I did lose my first pregnancy too at 11 weeks, but then the next four pregnancies brought my DCs. I hope that also gives you a bit of hope as I can only imagine how much harder it was on you to lose your baby at 18 weeks. Be gentle with yourself.

@PlanDeRaccordement

Thank you so much, and so sorry for your loss too ❤️ So glad you went on to have healthy babies! That's really lovely to hear :)

It was very difficult. Labour and delivery was just surreal, and leaving him behind when we came home from hospital is a memory that seems to sneak up on me at times and is really difficult to snap out of. Never thought I'd be a person to be so affected by something...I suppose I was naive, haha. Anyway, all we can do is keep trying. Thank you again, hope you're well ❤️

So sorry for your loss OP, I can't imagine how hard that must have been. I have been pregnant 3 times - 2 dc and 1 loss (at 11 weeks). All had totally different symptoms! Dc1 I "knew" I was pregnant before I even tested because I felt so odd; dc2 I wasn't expecting a bfp at all because I felt fine. Dc1 was a horrendous pregnancy and dc2 was much easier/milder. Good luck with ttc and wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy next time.

@TheDetectiveBadge Thank you so much ❤️ So sorry to hear of your loss too. It's hard, isn't it? We'd hoped to conceive before our wee boy's due date but it's in 2 weeks so don't think that's to be now.

That's really reassuring to hear, thank you for this :) I've just had a BFN at 10 dpo so think sadly out for this month, but will feel reassured that my symptoms don't have to be the same as they were before for any future pregnancy. Thank you! 🤞
