Early pregnancy symptoms after one week! What do I do?

Me and my partner officially started TTC 10 days ago (I was on the POP pill beforehand), I’d say around 3-4 ago I started to get strange twinging and painful pulling sensations in my lower abdomen followed by a really bright pink cervical mucus when I went to wipe. This only happened 2 in 1 day. Today I’ve noticed my breasts feel really strange, my nipples are so itchy and feel bruised to touch. Is it too soon to be pregnant? If not when should I test?

Well, no, it's not too soon to be pregnant but I'm not sure those symptoms would come do early on. BUT I'm no expert.
Have you been tracking dates of when you're ovulating?

@Derby98 Have you only just come off the pill? I found in my first cycle off the pill I had every 'pregnancy' symptom going, including twinges in my abdomen etc. Spotting could also be due to hormonal changes. If not, could very well be very early symptoms, but also could be ovulation symptoms - ovulation pain, ovulation spotting, and breast pain from increase in progesterone x

I don't know if you mean you TTC 10 days ago or you stopped your pill 10 days ago. The pill stops follicle growth and ovulation. So I think it would be unlikely to be able to grow a big enough follicle, ovulate, and get pregnancy symptoms in 10 days. Though obviously not impossible.

Am I best to test to make sure? And when should I do one?

If you were still taking the pill until 10 days ago, it's likely you haven't ovulated yet much less become pregnant. The symptoms are most likely caused by hormone imbalance following the withdrawal of the artificial hormones you've been taking. You can always take a test in order to rule it out though.

I'd wait a week and do a test to put your mind at ease one way or another 🙂
I second that I felt very pregnant the first month after the POP. Heavy breasts, nausea, heartburn, sensitive nipples etc. So try not to get too excited if you can help it!
I don't think it's too soon to have ovulated personally and the spotting could be ovulation related, which would make sense with all of the things you're feeling as post ovulation hormones can cause those feelings too! Unfortunately you'll have to wait it out to see. Your cycles can go a bit wild for the first few months after stopping contraception.
Goodluck 😊

When did you stop the pill? Have you had a period since?

Hi @Derby98 I came off the POP pill in October to TTC, had all those symptoms too so was kinda hoping i would be pregnant but got my withdrawal bleed come through yesterday. I think unfortunately the withdrawal symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms! I have definitely seen people say they've fallen pregnant immediately after stopping the pill so whilst it's unlikely i wouldn't totally rule it out... maybe test in a weeks time or so
