What are evap lines?

Done a few threads on MN and so far all received helpful advice that’s reassured me Smile

As the days tick on (very slowly) until I can test, more worries and thoughts go through my mind.

Most recent thought is what is an evap line and how would I know if a line is evap rather than a faint positive? And vice versa, how would I know if it’s a faint positive rather than evap?

I was going to test on Saturday or Sunday (10-12dpo) with FRER and if I see a faint line continue to test until AF is due and hopefully the line gets darker. But I may just wait until when AF is due if evap lines are common?

Normally a line so faint you can't really tell if it's positive or not, sometimes more colourless, also some brands are worse than others, Sainsbury's have a bad rep for evaps and blue dye tests.

@maisythehorse ah thank you! I thought it’d be deceiving as a positive and I’d get my hopes up (if it happened)

Are FRER good? Or are they notorious for evaps?

When I've had negatives with frer it's been completely negative so yes I would trust those. In the past I've used clear blue and not had a problem personally.

@maisythehorse thank you very much Smile I’ve got FRER and clear blue stocked!
