I'm on CD15, TTC baby #1 and on cycle #8. I got a positive opk yesterday so today should be O day Smile. Anyone else in the same boat and looking to test at the end of the month ? Having others might make this TWW more tolerable. Really starting to get discouraged after so many months of bfns.

Hi @ButterscotchBabe I am also 5DPO! I was planning to test on the 2nd if my period hasn't come before then (I'm due on the 1st but my cycle does vary by a day here and there). Knowing myself, I will probably crack earlier than that and end up testing on the 31st!

jules5232 · 24/10/2020 13:21

I am trying soooo hard to wait until the end of next week (31st) but I might crack!! Currently 9dpo, bought some FRERs yesterday. Only symptoms are sore boobs, which is typical before AF for me. Though they are pretty painful. Trying to be optimistic but expecting AF to show. How are you ladies feeling??

OP posts:
BrownF89 · 24/10/2020 15:37

Ahhh I'm so pleased you ladies have said the same!!! It's driving me crazy point being 5dpo... I feel like I should already be at next week by now!
Nausea has been pretty bad (only eating plain toast or pasta) and my boobs and just body in general is soo achy. Not feeling too positive though as I've recently changed to a different prenatal vitamin which (reading side effects yestersay) can cause nausea and funny bellys and I'm still recovering from a broken ankle but on strict orders from physio to be more active which I have been so could be the reason I'm achy.

Not sure if I'm just trying to make myself believe I'm not pregnant so it's less of a blow next week if I don't get a BFP!!

Also obsessively watching 2ww videos!! Someone help me 😂😭Blush

Luckyelephant1 · 25/10/2020 09:40

Today (6DPO) I am feeling a bit crampy and achey although it could well be either because I have yet another UTI brewing or because I did a big workout yesterday Confused so trying not to get hopes up. No achey boobs at all although thats something I've never ever had even with periods. I am trying not to obsessively google every tiny little symptom I think I have but its so hard!

ButterscotchBabe · 25/10/2020 10:48

6DPO here with absolutely no symptoms! Trying to assume I'm not pregnant, that way if I do get a BFN it won't be as disappointing.

Try and put your symptoms down to something else and not pregnancy, if you assume the worse then it can only get better 🙂.

BrownF89 · 25/10/2020 16:14

@ButterscotchBabe - yep! That's what one half of me is trying to think! But the other half of me has spent the morning watching '6dpo pregnancy test' videos to see if it's worthwhile me testing!!

My app is currently saying i should start testing Thursday (29th) but worried that still might be too early! But also not sure I'll be able to wait much longer!

ButterscotchBabe · 25/10/2020 16:26

@BrownF89 so the 29th would be 10DPO? It would be better if you could hang on until 30th, less chance of a false negative. I'm trying to hold out until 31st which would be 12DPO.

Maybe set up a reward system, so each day past 9DPO that you don't test, do something to treat yourself? Then you've got something else to look forward to.

My family are going on holiday next June and I really want to go with them as we've never had a family holiday before. However, if I got pregnant this month then I'd be 8 months pregnant in June, so I would be unable to go. If I got a BFN then I would be able to go. This has helped keep me calmer this cycle, having something else to look forward too.

BrownF89 · 26/10/2020 12:45

@ButterscotchBabe - I will hold off as long as I can! My husband is out all day on Friday so thinking I'd rather not have to wait all day to tell him either way so maybe waiting until Saturday will be better!

Ahh, a family hobday would be lovely! At least you have a positive if you get a BFN this week!

I think I'm feeling more pressure this month because I love the idea of announcing at about twelve weeks on Christmas Day! Which probably sounds ridiculous but yeh! Roll on the weekend!

BrownF89 · 26/10/2020 12:46

@ButterscotchBabe I'm not even sure where Hobday has come from!! Haha! Definitely mean holiday Grin

ButterscotchBabe · 26/10/2020 15:38

@BrownF89 haha Hobday made me think of hobnobs 😋😂. Yes I was thinking the same too about Xmas, it would be lovely to announce to the family on Xmas Day or if I tell them sooner, I could put the 12 week scan pic in a card 🎄🎅👶. Based on the odds of probability, some of us in this group will get BFP's this week!

jules5232 · 26/10/2020 16:32

Announcing at the holidays would be great wouldnt it!! The parents would love that!

Keeping everything crossed for all of us! Not too much longer to wait 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Are we all feeling okay today?

ame88 · 27/10/2020 09:34

Hey ladies!
Currently 12DPO and driving myself mad 😂
Did a test yesterday and came back negative but AF not due till Friday so still hopefull...trying to hold off doing another test sooo bad but kind of want to do one Thursday! How are you all getting on?

jules5232 · 27/10/2020 14:08

@ame88 same here, I'm at 12dpo today and had a BFN yesterday on a FRER. Real bummer, but not sure if I'll test again. Have cramps on and off so I imagine AF is on her way tomorrow. One positive though is I am scheduled to have some 'Day 3' bloodwork done this cycle to see if something might be off. The hubby isnt too excited about his, but it will be reassuring to hear if anything is wrong and any options we might have! So I'm trying to stay positive.
You ladies plan to test at the end of the week??

OP posts:
Chascha18 · 27/10/2020 14:38

Hey ladies,
I'm due on Saturday and I'm so nervous! I've been getting some mild cramps on and off all morning so that's not helping!
Fingers crossed for you all!

ButterscotchBabe · 27/10/2020 14:42

Hey everyone, 8DPO today and I've just noticed some creamy CM with a very slight grey/brownish tinge. So either af is on the way or possibly implantation spotting. If af is on the way, that's not a good sign as will mean my luteal phase is too short. I was planning on testing 30th or 31st but we'll see what happens with af.

@ame88 if it's not getting too costly, I think it would be good to do another test on Thursday, you'll be 14DPO and most people would be showing a positive by then.

@jules5232 maybe you could also test again on Thursday is af doesn't arrive? Just curious, what does the Day 3 bloodwork look for?

jules5232 · 27/10/2020 15:12

@ButterscotchBabe that could definitely be implantation bleeding! Are you still charting your temps?

I guess the bloodwork looks at a few things- the number of eggs and their quality(FSH and AMH), prolactin, and TSH which I guess looks at thyroid levels.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 27/10/2020 16:35

@jules5232 yes hopefully! Yep still charting temp, it dropped slightly today but still fairly high. I guess I'll know if I get a big drop in the next couple of days! I'm glad I started monitoring my temp, its made it much easier to work out what is going on. Hopefully you won't need your new thermometer but if you do, it definitely is useful! That will be good to get the bloodwork done, just incase there is an issue, you want to know sooner rather than later.

@Chascha18 are cramps normal for you this many days ahead of your period? If not, could be implantation cramps 🤞

Fertile window 10-15 October. Anyone with me?
BrownF89 · 27/10/2020 22:37

Ladies! Just trying to work out my ovulation and dpo (first month using lh tests) - the photos show that i peaked on 18th. Would i have definitely then ovulated on the 19th because of the decrease in lh or could it have been the 20th?
This app says 19th however my fitbit (which I've been logging periods on for years) said the 20th? This femometer app changed my ovulation day by a day after my lh tests! Hoping that question actually makes sense! Thank you Smile

ButterscotchBabe · 28/10/2020 08:30

@BrownF89 hey I'm not sure about the OPK as I don't use them, hopefully others here have experience and can help you.

I'm really confused as this morning there has been more spotting and light cramps, which normally would indicate af but I'm 9DPO so af shouldn't be starting yet. If it was implantation bleeding would it mean I might get a BFP now or still to early?

Fertile window 10-15 October. Anyone with me?
jules5232 · 28/10/2020 13:04

@BrownF89 from what I have read the majority if women do tend to ovulate the day after the first peak on an opk but some can take 2 or 3 days! I think that's why temping can be so helpful - because it can help you see how quickly after that positive opk your temp drops and you can figure when you personally ovulate after. It looks like you definitely had a peak on the 18th so that's great! I normally can feel ovulation the next day but it would be hard to know for sure if you did on the 19 or 20th. Do you ever feel it?

@ButterscotchBabe I would think if you had IB than you might still need to wait for hcg to build up. I think it can last a couple days, right? I've read women who say they get a bfp at 9dpo but I try to wait until at least day 11 or 12. Do you normally spot days before AF? Fingers crossed!!

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 28/10/2020 13:11

@jules5232 since this morning, the spotting has got heavier and has gone from brown to reddish brown, so I think it is af. Strange though that it's come so early and without a dip in temp. I do sometimes get spotting a day before af.

How are you getting on? Did your af arrive today?

Chascha18 · 28/10/2020 14:09

So I had mild cramping yesterday which I thought was the beginning of AF but now nothing at all!

Luckyelephant1 · 28/10/2020 15:44

I'm 9dpo now and getting mild cramps but because I'm get bloating and ibs symptoms quite a lot I can't really tell if it's that. I also got way more out of breath than usual today in my workout, like very noticeably so, and apparently breathlessness can be an early sign. No spotting or anything else though. Trying to hold out the next few days until I test!

BrownF89 · 29/10/2020 09:23

10dpo and obviously I cracked and took a test. And obviously it was negative! 🤦‍♀️

First - why don't I have any self control? 😂

Two - now feeling pretty fed up but trying to remain a little hopeful. Especially seeing as on my other tracker I could still only be 9dpo.

Although the last five months of 'not not' trying has been unsuccessful, it was definitely more enjoyable and less stressful!!
