DP and I have been ttc for over 2 years, probably 3 now. Not a hint of a positive test. We started off just dtd when we felt like it- nothing happened. I got ovia and started tracking things a bit on there and trying to dtd when it said I would be fertile on there. Nothing. I did some ovulation tests which have been pretty hit and miss but tried to dtd in the lead up to my fertile day and beyond. Nothing has happened.

DP went to have a semen analysis - all came back normal (which is really good as he was convinced he was the problem)

I had some bloods done a while ago to check me on certain days of my cycle and everything came back normal apart from raised prolactin levels. I also seem to suffer from recurrent anaemia.
I am taking ferroglobin as an iron supplement as it seems to be quite gentle on my system. I don't know where to go from here. Should I go back to my Gp and say dps results are normal so I am probably the problem. i had an ectopic a long time ago and lost one of my tubes so I am worried about the impact that could be playing and also the underlying cause of the ectopic- ie could my other tube be blocked. I am not sure what to request from my GP.

You should go back to your GP and say that all initial tests have been performed and come back normal - the next step is for them to refer you to a fertility clinic. Do this asap as fertility clinic waiting times can be a few months so best get the ball rolling. Things they might do next at the clinic is give you hycosy to clear out your tubes, and discuss IUI/IVF options for you.

Just because OH had a clear test doesn't mean there's a problem with you btw, it could just be unexplained infertility.

I spoke to my GP a while ago about it, if it comes to it I don't think I want to go through the process of IVF- I have seen friends go through it and I am not sure if I would cope.
My GP also told me I would need to get myself to a certain BMI before I would be able to receive treatment as my BMi would need to be 25 or under- I have never been the weight they want me to be apart from when I got pregnant with my son many years ago and that was because i was severely ill and in hospital with a liver problem- I looked gaunt and horrible at that weight!
I am still chipping away at my weight to reduce it- I don't look massive but I am heavier than I look if that makes sense.
Do you know if they would carry out the diagnostics regardless of weight? Surely if my tube is blocked then that will be the case if i am my current weight or if I am 3+ stone lighter?

@TickleThePickle Yes you can definitely ask for a hycosy without being expected to do IVF or be below 25 BMI. Also if IVF isn't for you then there's IUI you could try which isn't anywhere near as invasive but might improve your chances.

If anyone tries to dismiss you based on weight just keep advocating for yourself (easier said than done, I know!) and remind them that all your blood tests came back fine so clearly your weight isn't affecting your hormones.

Are you confident you're hitting the right days DTD wise btw? Are your cycles irregular or long at all?

@Juno231 thank you so much- this info is really helpful and actually gives me hope that it might happen even if we need help. I just had a google at what an IUI is and I would be happy to try that, its the needles and emotional side of things that puts me off of IVF.

I will get back in touch with my GP and see if he can refer me or at the very least repeat the bloods.

You have really given me some hope so thank you.
