CB Advanced Digital Ovulation Monitor - experiences?

Hello all,

I'm in the 2nd cycle of TTC #1.
My cycles are normally between 26-30 days, mostly 28.
On 1st cycle of TTC I used cheapie OPK strips (MomMed), got my peak on day 12, along with EWCM, BBT rose day 13 and stayed up until my period. We BD on CD8, 10, 11, 12, 13. Unfortunately I got my period on 12 DPO (11-day luteal phase).
On 2nd cycle I decided to try the CB Advanced Ovulation Test because it said it can identify 4 or more fertile days, so I figured it will take some of the pressure off. Started testing on CD6 with FMU, as per instructions, and got the empty circle until CD9. Today (CD10) I got a static smiley, i.e.: LH peak.
I panicked thinking I missed my fertile window and only have 1 or 2 days to conceive this cycle! I held my wee for 2.5 hours, didn't drink anything and tested again with a MomMed strip and it was definitely negative. I have no EWCM and my BBT is still in the low range.
Obviously I can't test again with the CB for 48 hours, but I've been left wondering what's going on!
We will BD tonight and tomorrow and keep testing with MomMed but I was looking for other people's experiences with the digital OPK.
At this point I feel like I wasted £30 and I've been left feeling anxious and like something is wrong with me. Sad

Thank you for reading my rant!

In my opinion the clear blue tests were very accurate for me as long as you used first morning wee, I would be inclined to trust it xx

I know some people have great results with cb digital but I've several false positives with them. I know because I've always tested with another test alongside it. Also when I have has the false positives I've not had any ewcm - which has been alarm bells for me. I don't really trust the cb anymore. When this happens I normally get the proper surge a week or so later. Good luck!

@sarahc336 Thanks for your reply! 🙂

@Smoby I also have PCOS, so maybe I'm getting multiple surges, who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We BD this afternoon, we will do it again tomorrow and the day after. I'll be monitoring CM and BBT and keep at it until my BBT rises. Moral of the story: this is way more stressful than I anticipated and I need to calm down!! 😁

Saying that though @eloiseislost the stick holder gets more sensitive to your hormone levels the more times you use it that's why if you buy a new pack it's best to keep using the same holder, so with it only being the first few times you've used it it may just be picking up a small surge with your pcos. I don't have pcos so can't comment on how good they are if you do, hopefully someone else will be along soon that can help you more with that xx

I think you are right! My other thought was maybe the cheap strips are less sensitive so, if I have smaller surges, they are better suited for me than the CB.
