Hi I had to take Clomephene in order to get pregnant with my daughter, now she is 2.5 and we would like to try again. I know I'm not ovulating still and even less now than when trying foe our daughter so I know I'll have to take it again but wondered if anyone knows what is the likliehood of twins as I don't think I could cope with that. I'm far too lazy!!

im not sure to be honest, does it run in your family? we have twins on both sides of my family and hubbys family and we are still twinless lol

I think that, as long as you are not on a dose that is too high for you, the risk in negligible.
I am currently taking Clomifene and am having ovarian scans each month to see if it is working (which it isn't so far) but not working too well IYSWIM. If you are given it again I'd ask your consultant and, if you are still worried, ask for monthly scans.
Hope all goes well for you

The Clomid (brand name of Clomifene Citrate)info leaflet says "Clomid may increase the chance of you having a multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets or more) Both you and your partner should know that this is possible"

It works by stimulating your ovaries, so if they are 'over stimulated' you can produce more than one egg. More than one egg=chance of multiples. I think my doc said it was a 10% increased chance of multiples. HTH
