Painkillers and trying to conceive/pregnancy

Today been diagnosed with Tendonitis and have been prescribed the strongest dose of Naproxen painkiller however, online it states not to take when trying for a baby/ovulating.

I'm really stressed because I am in a lot of pain but I'm also ovulating as of today too. I took one before realising I shouldn't take it.

It sounds ridiculous but I'd rather be in pain and ride it out than miss any chance of conception.

Does anyone have any experience of taking prescribed pain killers and if so, did this affect your fertility/pregnancy?

For short term use, a non steroidal anti inflammatory won't affect your fertility. It won't build up enough in your system to prevent ovulation until it's been used for months rather than days or weeks. NSAIDs should also be avoided in the third trimester, and because of this, are advised as to be precautionary when pregnant. How long is your course for? Even if you do get pregnant today, the egg won't implant for another 9 days and won't be sharing a blood stream any time soon.
The naproxen isn't just to stop the pain but to prevent an inflammatory response so in your situation I'd continue to use as directed. My pain management consultant and GP both advised me to keep using NSAIDs while trying to conceive as the benefits outweigh the risks, especially if it's a short course and you haven't conceived yet.
