Hello girls!

Please can someone tell me if I’m seeing things/it’s an evap line?

I’m 11dpo, period due 4 days time. Thought I’d use one of the test strips I got free with ovulation tests... I ordered some more pg ones last week but still awaiting for them to arrive. Don’t wanna go out and buy any just yet as I have wasted so much money in the past few months :(

Couple of months ago I got 2 false negatives from blue dye tests so refused to use them any more!

Please let me know if my eyes are deceiving me but be kind lol xx

That looks pretty positive. I reckon you'd get a positive digital with a line that strong. I would hold off on the antibiotics until you can speak to the GP.

restingbface · 02/09/2020 14:30

Omg that last pic is definitely positive!!!!!

BessieBye · 02/09/2020 14:42

@restingbface @Sunshinegirl82
Wow this is all so surreal haha.. I am actually in disbelief! Need my DP to come home now! So impatient 😆 50 mins and he should be home...

Yes sunshine I’ve just rang docs and no phone appts left for today. I might as well start them tomorrow anyway so I will ring them first thing in the morning.. suppose I could always nip to a chemist and speak to pharmacist.
Might nip to Superdrug after work. Thanks for your replies girls xx

@BessieBuy I took metrinizadole for same thing in my second pregnancy not knowing I was pregnant. When I spoke to a midwife she said it wouldn't have done any harm as its only when the teeth are developing. I personally wouldn't recommend taking them without speaking to a GP.... Because the pregnancy I'm referring to was a miscarriage picked up at a 12 wk scan that didn't develop past 10 wks 3 days xxx

BessieBye · 02/09/2020 16:48

Ah thanks @Furbabymum15 for that info! I really appreciate it. I am so sorry for to hear about that 💔 hope you are taking care.
They are exactly same antibiotics I’ve been given... I went to pharmacy and pharmacist said he advises against taking them but still speak to GP. I will ring first thing. What a bitter sweet situation to be in eh!! Xx

Hi sorry for jumping on, yes that’s certainly positive, I saw you were at a SH clinic today for BV but didn’t ask for a test, the typical first line antibiotics we give for BV are not to be given in pregnancy ( not sure if you were treated or not ) so please call them back to check, ( I’m a SH nurse )

BessieBye · 02/09/2020 19:48

Thank you so much @restingbface!!

@Slumcat thanks for commenting! Yes I was given Metronidazole and haven’t taken anything yet. I will be contacting GP in the morning so will see what he says.

Tbh, I would much rather visit SH clinic than my GP. I felt so much more comfortable and more acknowledged as an actual person there. They really valued me and took their time instead of rushing in and out of an apt. Would SH clinics deal with pregnancy or should that always be with GP? Xx

Slumcat · 02/09/2020 19:53

Don’t take the metronidazole! They can give a second line that is safe in pregnancy, unfortunately we don’t deal with pregnancy in sexual health ( we prevent them with contraception Grin) but they can certainly give you the second line treatment at sexual health shouldn’t be an issue, congratulations

PinkPlantCase · 02/09/2020 19:55

Congratulations OP 🥳🥳🥳

BessieBye · 02/09/2020 19:59

Fabulous thank you so much for that info @Slumcat. I am surprised they didn’t take a pregnancy test for me today.. I’ve been to a drop in centre with a fracture ankle before and they’ve made me do a test ha ha!!

I will call SH tomorrow and see if I can do a swapsies.

But yes I have not taken it (I read the leaflet and rang GP straight away, but GP was fully booked - typical) and will not take it. Thanks so much for popping up!!!

Thank you so much @PinkPlantCase Grin

I’m surprised too, I do dozens of tests a day, any pregnancy risk and I won’t give it, even with a neg test you need to take into account any unprotected sex in the previous two weeks! Glad you saw my post, good luck op
