Hi there

I’m going to take SI for the first time this cycle. I bought the 40mg tablets from Tesco and plan to take 120mg for the first 3 days and 160mg for the remaining 2 days. The instructions say to take 1 tablet per day with a meal. Am I safe to take all 3 (or 4) tablets in one go before bedtime? I want to try to limit any symptoms, such as headaches etc.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Hiya, I also take the Tesco ones.

I take 160mg (4 pills) for the first 3 days then 200mg (5 pills) for the last 2 days.

I take them all at the same time first thing when I wake up along with my folic acid and ubiquinol.

I’ve never suffered any kind of side effects from taking them.

Good luck x

Ah, that's good to know. Thank you for that. Have you been on them long?

I’ve taken them for 4 cycles now (this current cycle is my 4th trying them).

I’ve fallen pregnant but had a chemical. But I don’t think getting pregnant was anything to do with the soy as I’ve had a mc at 9 weeks and 3 chemicals all before trying soy.

For me I don’t think it helps in getting pregnant but I like it as it seems to regulate my ovulation. I used to ovulate late around cd22, but since taking soy it’s brought it forward to between cd13 and cd15 so it makes my cycles shorter which is nice

I'm sorry to hear about your mc and your chemicals Flowers

That's why I want to take SI too. I typically have 33 day cycles so would like to shorten them a little and be able to pinpoint ovulation. This month FF initially put ovulation at cd17 but then later removed the crosshairs and said it couldn't detect ovulation. (I take my BBT but will start using OPKs too from this cycle onwards).

I was suffering from nausea and lightheadedness all this week, exactly like when I conceived DC1 (not something I've ever experienced with PMS) but AF arrived today. I didn't do a HPT so not sure if this was a failed pregnancy or not.

@kollywobble I'm on my third cycle with them, I take 150mg for the first three days then 200mg for the last two, I take them on cd3-7 it hasn't brought ovulation forward too much but seems to be regulating it at around CD22..... opks are definitely helpful for knowing when you are going to ovulate, I use the clear blue advanced ones

@Moominmiss hello again :) I was thinking of stopping soy next month and trying ubiquinol, I didn't realise could take them together do you take them throughout whole cycle x

Kollywobble · 22/08/2020 16:16

Thank you @AnxiousAnnie86
I'm also planning on taking mine on days 3-7, which means starting tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if/how it affects my cycle.

Hi @AnxiousAnnie86!
I’ve not found anything that says I can’t take the two together. I’ve been taking both for the past 3 cycles.

I take 200mg of ubiquinol every day throughout my cycle. Can’t say I’ve noticed any difference, but hopefully it’s helping improve my egg quality 🤷🏼‍♀️

AnxiousAnnie86 · 22/08/2020 16:29

@Moominmiss I think I may try it next month and see what happens! I don't want to risk stopping soy though as it seems to somewhat regulate my cycles x
