Hello!
Just looking for another pair of eyes to help me please!
Took these two Tesco own pregnancy tests earlier this evening, checked after 3/4 mins (shouldn't read the results after 10) and there was the faintest of lines running through the middle making it a positive, so faint though that in certain lights you couldn't see it at all..
it's left me completely stumped as to what the result really is.
I took a clear blue test, and it's come back as negative as negative could be so I'm really unsure.
The tests when I checked again a moment ago are a little darker now, so you can see the lines better.
What do you think..? Wishful thinking maybe??
I always thought clear blue were the best tests but now I'm not sure..

Is this a  positive test..?

@LifeIsBusy
Yep still very much in guess mode annoyingly. It's so frustrating.
I keep trying to contact the nurse but she isn't available. She did tell me to test again Sunday if my period doesn't come by last week.. it's not come but I'm still testing and no positives!

@ttc97 did you have a fairly regular AF before the implant? Just seems soo strange that you've not been able to determine either way!

ttc97 · 27/08/2020 14:10

@LifeIsBusy
Yes I did, it was like clockwork before my implant. I have had 2 implants for 3 years each, back fo back so 6 years in total. Not sure if that's got anything to do with it?!
I'm just so surprised after all of these AF symptoms that nothings happened!

@ttc97 has it been out for an entire month yet?

Curiosity101 · 27/08/2020 14:50

@ttc97 I've only skimmed the thread so apologies if I missed anything that's already been said but I do feel what the nurse said to you regarding your expected period date was a little incorrect/ not explained well.

Your period arrives a set number of days after you ovulate. It's called your luteal phase and for most people there is very little variation in it from month to month. The average luteal phase is between 12-14 days long.

Once you had the implant out you could theoretically ovulate anytime in the following days/weeks. But your period would only be due 'roughly' 12-14 days after you ovulate if you don't conceive. Most people seem to ovulate around 2-4 weeks after implant removal so for most people who don't conceive in the first month they would expect their period 4-6 weeks after removal. Obviously it becomes easy to predict when your period is due if you're tracking ovulation, but as a guide 4-6 weeks is about right.

I'm sorry you got false positives, I really don't feel they should be allowed to sell those Tesco tests based on the reviews I've seen. And I'm sorry you feel you're still in limbo. But hopefully what I've said above is helpful and you either get your period or a BFP soon.

Fingers crossed for you. It sometimes seems like time slows right down when TTC.

@Curiosity101 thank you so so much for your help!
It's so nice to have it explained properly - I did have a suspicion that the nurse had given me unusual dates to expect AF. It's just a shame she did that as I've been so worried and panicked by it all and thinking I'm not normal / something isn't right! 😔😭
I'm hoping it comes soon. Can't believe the Tesco tests are allowed to be sold either! So heartbreaking for so many women. X
