I'm going mad trying for a baby! It's been 2 years and 1 miscarriage since starting to try and it's driving me crazy! I'm looking for ideas on hobbies to take my mind off it. I don't have any hobbies atm so any ideas would be helpful.

TIA 👍🏻

Hi there! Not sure what you're into but I think calming, creative hobbies are great! For example; sewing, painting, knitting, pottery, jewellery making, baking, learning an instrument, gardening etc.
These are all "feminine" hobbies (quote-on-quote) but mean you can get some new skills, be calm and produce something creative!

9 months in here. We're planning to redecorate our hall / landing / stairs / living room. Plus another coat of the bathroom walls and redo the bedroom. That should keep us busy!

@peacheswife Amazing haha! If you're into slightly more wild pursuits, I went bungee jumping last December for DH's birthday, which was a lot of fun (albeit terrifying), but managing to do things like that make you feel a lot more confident about your capabilities!
(obviously not recommending if there are any health concerns tho!)
best of luck :) xxx

Hi, try drawing or painting. I started doing both about 2 years ago and I love it I generally sketch something everyday, gives me something else to think about and it’s so relaxing .

I love calligraphy (copperplate/pointed pen). It's not a huge outlay of cash and I found that I improved quickly enough that it was really satisfying. There are also a ton of great online learning resources. It is also fun to do Birthday/Christmas cards or even just fancy lettering on the envelope of a normal letter!

Bird watching? Sounds a bit geeky but going out to rspb sites, coastlines and generally lovely places to see them more unusual birds is so soothing...and doesn’t cost much as far as hobbys go. You can extend it further to photography etc .
