Feels like I have a stitch in my vagina, like it’s gone on a long run, & there was watery brown discharge when I wiped 😔

Feeling really worried, & now worries I’m going to sodding mc in a cottage in the West Country, with five of OH’s family members 😔

I thought a second mc in row was really uncommon.

I know this can still be a sign of pg, & not all that uncommon, I can’t explain it thought, I feel like last time, that I know it’s done.

whambam89 · 06/09/2020 18:16

@Sansa87 my best friend had a miscarriage earlier in the year and then had bleeding in her current pregnancy, she was sure it was over again as she had bleeding on 3 occasions. She's now almost 20 weeks and everything is fine - hopefully that gives you some reassurance x

Sansa87 · 06/09/2020 18:25

Thanks @whambam89 ❤️

LeopardLover · 06/09/2020 19:08

@Sansa87 Hope you're okay. 💖 I had the stitch like pain early on, and as you've said light brown discharge happens to many. Sending you lots of positive vibes! Xx

MrsB2019x · 06/09/2020 20:35

@Sansa87 If you are concerned give EPU a ring in the morning, they will know your history and will be able to reassure you 💙

@LeopardLover Can I ask what was your cramping like? Mine has been from 5dpo, quite low down and only in the mornings?🤨

claireb707 · 06/09/2020 21:05

Well am now I think 10dpo 🧐 hd a temp dip yesterday but have drank for England in the last few days. Doubt anything will come of it though. Partner is struggling under his SA results 😢

Currently in the hilton in Harrogate watching soccer aid drinking prosecco 😂

Meant to add it's our 5th anniversary today, we went to a Greek restaurant for dinner. Was half hoping partner would propose but he didn't 😢

@claireb707 happy anniversary! It's our 5 years this year as well and I don't think there will be a ring haha.

I don't really understand temping but a dip could be implantation at this stage right? Fingers crossed for you x

LeopardLover · 06/09/2020 21:41

@MrsB2019x So my cramps felt just like pre-AF pains. A dull ache first, then just before AF was due we had that big storm... It was like thunder and lightning in my uterus! So strong and sharp it woke me up in the night which is why I was convinced AF was due. I definitely dismissed the thought of a BFP due to all the cramping in the run up - so this could be a good sign for you! Do you wear a fitbit? I didn't take the thread on the link between BFP and RHR seriously, but after getting mine I realised my RHR shot up dramatically after conception!

@SS123456 Happy Anniversary! This is such a cute photo. Sorry DH is struggling and no ring ye..... but there's time. Took my DH 10 years 😅💍

MrsB2019x · 06/09/2020 22:14

Aww @claireb707 Happy anniversary! That’s a lovely picture ☺️ Maybe he thinks an anniversary is too cliche for a proposal and he will do it when you least expect it 😏

@LeopardLover Mine are just like a dull ache too. I thought I’d never had them this early before but looked over the notes I kept from last month and apparently I had them at 6/7DPO then so it doesn’t seem to mean anything 😕 I don’t wear a Fitbit but I bought one for DH for his birthday, might have to pinch it overnight!

claireb707 · 07/09/2020 06:54

Oooh temps have shot up this morning, maybe it was implantation 🤞

Trying not to get hopes up too mich

@claireb707 ooh exciting!!!

MrsB2019x · 07/09/2020 07:23

I really hope so @claireb707!

kirinm · 07/09/2020 07:27

@Sansa87 sorry to hear you've had some more brown discharge. I had that feeling like it was all over when I was pregnant with my DD. By that time I'd had 5 miscarriages and bled heavily. Obviously I was wrong. It is totally natural that your instinct is to think the worst - I think it is self preservation. I would maybe contact your EPU once you're back and ask for a reassurance scan. I'm not sure how many EPUs are offering them as I had heard covid meant EPU are offering a reduced service but it is definitely worth asking for one. Fingers crossed for you.

Sansa87 · 07/09/2020 07:30

@kirinm Thankyou ❤️ I’ve woken up with constant cramping still, tbough nothing on the pad.

However my boobs aren’t hurting at all, & no sicknesS, so almost seems exactly like last time. Only difference is this is a week earlier than July.

whambam89 · 07/09/2020 08:02

@Sansa87 at this stage symptoms can come and go so please try and stay positive, although I know it's easier said than done. Hoping everything is ok for you and you manage to enjoy your few days away x

Sansa87 · 07/09/2020 08:06

Thanks @whambam89 I did an internal check this morning as there was nothing when I wiped, and there was some creamy brown cm.

I don’t know whether to ring the doctor, so at least it’s just on my file.

No point doing an early scan at 5 weeks, I don’t think I’m in enough pain for it to be ectopic, and I’m away, so no point doing the first hcg blood test.

We have decided that if/when this ends not nicely, this time we will wait for a period before starting to ttc again.

I do suddenly hate myself for how much I smoked In my 20’s and you to May this year 😔

MrsB2019x · 07/09/2020 08:09

@Sansa87 Don’t beat yourself up about it, I work for SS and see mothers who do A LOT worse to their babies in utero and the babies are absolutely fine. Easier said than done but try and enjoy your few days away, might be a nice distraction from it all 💙

whambam89 · 07/09/2020 08:17

@sansa87 as MrsB says, there are many people out there who really do abuse their bodies and still have a healthy pregnancy so please don't beat yourself up about smoking before you got pregnant!

If it will put your mind at rest a little then maybe give the doctor's a call this morning x

kirinm · 07/09/2020 09:17

@Sansa87 I smoked on an off for about 20 years although gave up for the odd couple of years here and there. I was smoking and drinking a lot when I became pregnant with my daughter - it was December and we were out pretty much all month. The important thing is, I stopped as soon as she was born and haven't smoked since. I also barely drink now but that is mainly because her sleep is so shit I cannot bear the thought of a hangover.

You are not responsible for the loss of a pregnancy. It is much more common than people realise and I think you do really need to trust doctors who say there is often no reason found. It has absolutely nothing to do with you smoking.

kirinm · 07/09/2020 09:30

Not as soon as she was born - as soon as I found out I was pregnant!

ScottishLassie3 · 07/09/2020 14:17

AF turned up for me! Onwards and upwards to cycle number 5!

whambam89 · 07/09/2020 15:37

@scottishlassie5 sorry that AF has turned up! Hope you're ok x

whambam89 · 07/09/2020 15:37

@Sansa87 how are you feeling?

Sansa87 · 07/09/2020 15:40

Not horrendous pain @whambam89 but more than I should be.

Currently driving to the cottage now, & cant quite bring myself to join in with the sing song. Had a little bit more spotting before I left, two tiny spots.

How you doing? ❤️
