Sorry long post alert!!!!
DH and I had a chat about TTC last night. whilst we've been 'trying' for 18 months we reckon we can at least halve that - took ages for my body to get rid of pill, we had massive building work that put a halt to DTD (dog in the bedroom literally best contraception!!) and we know we've not been DTD frequently enough to know there's definitely something wrong and its not just a numbers thing. Up until this point i've not done any temperature checking but as my biggest concern is that AF is so irregular I thought I should probably start. So...
Any top tips and app recommendations?

Turn 34 in a couple of weeks and I feel like I need to take more control now!

@NotSoPatientlyWaiting I just use the £10 femomether thermometer and I swear by Fertility Friend for the tracking :) I've personally found it really reassuring to track my temps but then again mine have been pretty straightforward so far.

@mumof23188 any line updates today? Congrats to the one yday, I've already jotted you down as a BFP in the MN spreadsheet

Hope it’s ok to join! AF due 22nd August, usually have a 29 day cycle, looks like I ovulated on the 7th. This is our 17th month of trying and I’m feeling really disheartened already 🙈 so hoping joining this forum will help me to be a bit more optimistic!

@NotSoPatientlyWaiting ok I get what you are saying about not having giving it your all for all that time BUT it still has been 18 months so if i were you I would go to the gp and ask for blood tests as you would be perfectly entitled to after that length of time. No harm doing it especially if you are having irregular periods. Then if there is anything that needs addressing you know sooner rather than later and if not you can just carry on but have the reassurance it's just been bad timing etc

@Flofloo1 welcome! I understand I've been trying for 13 months it's a long slog. Have you had tests done at the year mark?

@Missgoldilocks Sorry to hear that - there’s something that sets in when u hit the year mark isn’t there! Yea we both had tests and everything looked good! I know how lucky we are but it’s quite frustrating there’s nothing obviously wrong and we still haven’t conceived. Did you have your tests?

@Flofloo1 yeah we had them done a little earlier plus last month I got my tubes checked and its all clear and my womb is fine! Of course we are lucky there is no issue but then its like... Why is it taking so long? You kind of need a reason to the madness! Really hope you get your bfp soon, thus can turn anyone mad!

@Busybee143 that's same as us, engaged on the beach...I didn't realise DH was getting down on one knee as I was going to pick up the dog poo the dog had just done...not realising I was totally spoiling the romantic moment. Oops, that's not the romantic story we tell though! 😂

@Vil10 I've just started northisterone today to halt AF so starting really now but embryo transfer not til around w/c 21st sep at earliest so still a long way away for us but at least we know rough dates now which is good! Onto the mega hormone express for me which is horrible 😳😩😂

Has anyone ever had a really aching groin in both sides in the TWW? I feel like I’ve walked miles and miles but not done much walking at all in this heat!

Ladies can I ask for your opinion
I did a test this morning (cheapie pound land one ) very faint line - almost non visible
We climbed snowdon after (an odd response I know) but I can’t mope forever .

I’m a little dehydrated and not been for a wee for three hours so tested again on a clear blue digi and it’s saying 1-2 weeks

No AF yet- do you think the clear blue is just wrong and detecting trace amounts? I don’t want to get my hopes up

@Mustbemad82 hello sorry for the delay in reply. I was trying to leave longer between retesting and being on MN was making it harder so I took a day off. I’m sorry your line progression hasn’t put your mind at ease at all yet but if it says 1-2 weeks then is positive! A pregnancy test won’t pick up anything unless there’s HCG there but I completely understand the anxiety and worry that its not going to end well I have/had the same anxieties. How many dpo are you now?

I feel slightly more at ease this morning as I’ve had some good line progress. I’ve attached a photo of 12dpo, 13dpo & 15dpo (which was taken this morning). I think it can take a little while for you to see the test line darker than the control..
@2alreadywantinganother congratulations!! That’s so great on your 2nd cycle too! 😊

With regards to adding things into the diet – I added 500mg Vitamin C this cycle, along with the pregnacare conception supplement, and had 3 brazil nuts a day from ovulation. Id never tired the brazil nuts or vitamin C before and I have no idea if it helped or it was just a fluke but I’m rolling with it 😊

It would be helpful if I actually attached the photo 🙈
