Had anyone had experience of falling pregnant using the pull out method?

Me and my partner have decided to use the pull out method after a difficult time on hormonal contraceptives.
We will be using condoms when my fertility/cycle tracking apps predict my fertile window and pull out method during other times. He has never miss judged it and always pulls out with plenty of time.

Hi OP. How are you determining your fertile window? I was TTC using a tracking app and it was a disaster. They just assume you ovulate at a standard time each month. I actually ovulate a LOT earlier so the fertile window was very different to what the tracker suggested. I know a fair few friends who found this to be the case.
If you want to lower the odds of getting pregnant the pull out method is fine. If you want to avoid getting pregnant you need another method.

I know you said you'll use condoms during the fertile week but bear in mind that can change cycle to cycle. My friend is pregnant now having used condoms during FW but that one cycle she ovulated much later randomly.

I would say if you do this properly then the odds are low but I don't see why you can't just consider an alternative method and save yourself the uncertainty.

It's incredibly unreliable.

My sister in law was a ‘pull out baby’ Grin

Haha,me! He’s my perfect little accident and I can’t believe I was going to stop at one.

My 13 year old was a pull out baby. Obviously I wasn't too bothered if I got pregnant at the time! I then used this method for a further 8 years without becoming pregnant until we tried for our third baby which was planned. Please do not use the pull out method if you definitely don't want to get pregnant! We definitely do not want more children so my DH has now had vasectomy.

I worked at a Catholic school and many colleagues fell pregnant this way.

I'm using a mix of cycle tracking app predictions along with fertility awareness, my cervical mucus is quite consistent and I'm aware of EWCM indicating ovulation time and so on.

We have a son already, who was conceived on our first cycle of trying, we had used condoms for about 3 months beforehand as I had my implant removed. We both know we definitely want more children in the near future but we have just decided to not actively try. If it happened then that's ok.
