We’re nearly full so made us another thread!

How is everyone?

I’m 6DPO CD31.. going to be a 40+ day cycle.. as if 30 doesn’t feel long enough!! Nothing to report aside from that.

@kalecat I hope you have the most amazing day today and can put AF out of your mind x

@smushty14 I bet you can't wait to start trying again! Could you not come off the pill now and just use condoms for a while so your cycle is hopefully back to normal when you are ready to start trying? Exciting times ahead!

@littlebee1990 I am really hoping Tuesday will be good news. That conversation with your mam and dad was probably really hard but I hope the extra support helps you x

@1992EM ooo this sounds promising! Yeah try not to test until tomorrow and then that way whatever the test says you know will be pretty accurate by then. Keep us updated, can't wait to hear!

So.. I rang the doctors yesterday and managed to get a same day telephone appointment. I basically said that I have been off the pill now for nearly 12 month and still nothing, I told her about using OPKs so I'm confident I'm ovulating and confident we dtd enough around ovulation. She was lovely and said that there's only a 20% chance of conception each month however by 12 months it's very unlucky that it hasn't happened. So she has booked me in for my 21 day bloods which confirms I have ovulated and my partner needs to give a semen analysis (LOL we have been very immature and giggling about the fact he has to do that). Anyway I feel better that I have spoken to her and doing something about the shitty monthly appearance of AF!

1992EM · 26/09/2020 12:33

@dogmam thanks, tbh I feel AF will probably surprise me today but if not I will test.
I am glad you got an appointment and got things moving . Hopefully comes back normal and your lucky cycle comes soon . I can't believe how difficult it is to get pregnant. I honestly thought it would just happen . X

AnnaPosie · 26/09/2020 12:47

@littlebee1990 keeping you in my thoughts and hope this has a happy ending for you, we moved into our forever home recently as well and literally planned the bedroom around the crib which is madness but was so sure we would have our baby by now but look, we will get there and I really hope it works for you xx

@kalecat I hope you have an amazing wedding and truly enjoy your day after all the hard days you have had.

AnnaPosie · 26/09/2020 12:52

@smushty14 congrats on the new house, it's so hard when friends announce, we are going through similar, so many friends announcing and we feel like we are the only ones who it's not working for and it's she's to switch off especially when you are seeing pics and stuff on social media but we will get there

Smushty14 · 26/09/2020 17:54

@Littlebee1990 That's exciting that you complete Wednesday!!! Are you all packed and ready to go? We have already decided our last night we will have a celebration with a takeaway.

Keep us updated, I really hope it's good news 🤞🏻

@1992EM I think what made it worse is she didn't even want kids - she's been saying this for ten years! Just a slip of the pill....

Has AF reared her ugly head yet?

@dogmam So the plan is to stop the pill once we are moved in. I don't really fancy moving whilst on my withdrawal bleed as I'm normally in a lot of pain and just want all the food and a hot water bottle. We are hoping for 16th October but got to wait and see. I know I'm so excited for the future after such a semi crappy year! So pleased about the new house but the whole Covid thing can do one now 🤣

Good luck with your doctors appointment. I'm so pleased they didn't just brush you off as I know they have to others which is just heartbreaking.

@AnnaPosie Thanks lovely! I think what makes it worse is at school it's ingrained in us that if we miss one pill or have sex once unprotected we will fall pregnant but that isn't the case AT ALL!!! Schools really need to start educating children rather than feeding them rubbish like it seems we all were!

1992EM · 26/09/2020 17:59

@smushty14 I totally get it . It is so unfair especially when we spend all month doing opks etc and then it just happens by accident for some.

AF still hasn't arrived. I am so confused . Spotting starting it is light pink and only when I wipe . No cramps and nothing on a pad at all . The last time I went there was nothing . If I am not pregnant I just want it to hurry up so I can try again 😩.

Smushty14 · 26/09/2020 20:01

Does anyone have any recommendations on thermometers or ovulation tests?

@1992EM have you tried testing yet? Or are you holding off?

1992EM · 26/09/2020 20:41

@smushty14 I tested yesterday morning at 12dpo and it was stark white that was with a normal frer as don't have any early ones. Been spotting on and off all day and still nothing at all unless I wipe and its just a pale pink colour. Normally I get this for a few hours but with red blood and then get a really heavy period. Never normally spot this long . I don't think it could still be implantation as I am 13dpo now . If nothing tomorrow I will test again.

I use one step ovulation for kost of my cycle and then when I get a positive i use clear blue to check . Has been pretty accurate for me so far. I don't temp though . I use the flo app and has also been accurate for predicted periods and very close with ovulation

1992EM · 27/09/2020 09:13

AF has arrived 😔

Smushty14 · 27/09/2020 10:05

@1992EM I'm sorry Hun 😔 on the bright side at least you know now so can try again.

I'll have a look into those ones! I've got the apps all ready to go, just need to hold off until we are in

1992EM · 27/09/2020 10:26

@smushty14 thanks , even if you aren't trying this month i would start tracking your cycle and ovulation dates to give you a better idea . Also helps the app become more reliable too x

dogmam · 27/09/2020 15:44

@smushty14 ahh well not too long to wait then, fingers crossed for your October date! How exciting, will this be your forever home?
I use the One Step opks, think they're only £7 for 50 from Amazon, they've been good, I use the Premom app to track and you can take a pic of your opks and it reads and plots the graph for you, I really like it. I also have the Clue app.
Yeah, I'm so relieved that the doctor was a good one, it must an awful if you get one that brushes you off

@1992EM I am so sorry AF is here. Have allll the chocolate and gins for the next few days then positive thoughts for next cycle. Let's hope it's lucky for us both.

1992EM · 27/09/2020 17:04

@dogmam thank you. Hopefully October will be a lucky month. It has worked out well as the week i will likely ovulate we are both off.💕

Smushty14 · 27/09/2020 20:22

@dogmam thanks lovely we are so excited!!! Yes it will be, we have plans to extend it in around 5 years time so definitely forever home.

Ooh I haven't heard of the clue app. I have Flo, Ovia and Femometer.

They look like the cheapest opks so I'm definitely thinking of giving those a go

Kalecat · 27/09/2020 22:15

Wedding was wonderful. DH and I are elated ❤️ didn't have an overly romantic evening though, as AF decided this weekend was a good time to arrive 🙄
Will continue TTC in October... going to see the doctor soon, and get some blood work to make sure my levels are ok for maintaining pregnancy..
We're taking a mini-moon for the next week, will check in soon. ❤️

1992EM · 28/09/2020 09:17

@kalecat I am glad you had a great day 💕

Littlebee1990 · 29/09/2020 08:53

Hi ladies, update as promised after my visit to EPU last week when they said heartbeat was low and to expect the worst and go back in 2 weeks. Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers.. today at our private scan bubbas heartbeat is now 129bpm and I’m measuring at 6+4.. we’re not out the woods yet as it’s still very very early days and I have a haematoma to the side of bubba which is a risk but I have to rest, take it easy and keep hopeful everyday. She said as of today everything looks good and how it should and we saw bubbas heartbeat flickering away. We can’t quite believe it. ❤️😢

Nottherealslimshady · 29/09/2020 18:20

@Littlebee1990 woohoo!! So happy for you, I also have a haematoma but the lady who did the scan said they're not uncommon and rarely cause any trouble, theres a few women on my fb group who have one.
@Kalecat congrats on your wedding 💕
