Positive OPK the day period is due!

I am due my period today, but I have had a positive opk! I don’t know if this is normal for me as I have never done one this late in my cycle before. I had brown spotting from CD19-24. I done an internet cheapie pregnancy test yesterday and this was negative. Has anyone had this... what did this mean for you? xx

It's possible to have more than one LH surge per cycle, although you only ovulate after the latest.

This is what I think happened to me last cycle, as I had EWCM when my period was due, then had my period two weeks later than usual. It really freaked me out!

It was like my first LH surge didn't work, so my body tried again two weeks later (when my period would normally have started).

@Eabx thanks, but I've had all my luck, and I have a 5 year old to prove it, these are old tests! I preferred the pink dye ones, I hope everything works out for you, clear blue are great, but made me worry, so I just wanted to share my pics in hope for you 💕

Okay.... so to add more confusion... I done a frer with fmu and a vvvvvf line appeared... but darker at each end of that makes sense and definitely pink at the ends. It would not pick it up properly with the case so I took it out and took this pic straight away.... all I want is af or bfp to show up 😩 x

@Eabx ooo how exciting. I can't see anything to be honest (sorry I am useless with these things when they are faint I need an obvious line), however I am sure if you see something there is something. Maybe try again on Tuesday morning and keep us posted. Fingers crossed for you! Is your OPK still positive?

So I have done another frer this morning and it has a very faint line, not just at the top and bottom of where the line is but the whole line is showing today... just about! So, are these defective tests or possibly the start of something! I have attached a photo and a black/white image as it shows the line better, it’s hard to pick up on the camera x

OP I would say your pregnany by all the teats and faint lines. Have you taken CBdigital (the one that's says pregnant and hmthe number of weeks)? I feel this would really help put your mind at rest, I know it did for me when I was pregnant with my second as was sick of deciphering lines!

@Elakiya I will post what tomorrow’s test is like... if it’s not getting darker it must just be the tests x

@Yesterdayforgotten I haven’t done a digital yet, but I will do one in couple of days of the line gets a bit darker x

You can test up to 5 days before your missed period with it op as it is early detection. I wouldnt waste your time with any more line ones for now. If you've missed your period that is the most reliable sign too but def do the CB digital, they never let me down for both my babies and it was the only one that dh actually believed!

So I tested this morning with a frer and there was no line at all, it was a bfn! I have lots of cramps so maybe af is on the way... x

Your definitely having the strangest cycle ever! You’ve had positives on and off it’s so strange. How long has your cycle been now. If it gets really late maybe go in and get tested by the GP?

So af arrived last night (cd42) I’m relived to not be guessing any more, but this is definitely not a normal cycle for me... I am bleeding extra heavy and having to change my tampon every 1 1/2 -2 hours. If it doesn’t get any better I will speak with my doctor xx

Not very helpful but I had a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage like this a few month ago. My lines were strongertjank yours but always took ages to appear and never got really dark. Im so sorry you aren't pregnant.

Keep an eye on the bleeding. I hope you are feeling ok.

I hope someone reads this lol! I know it hasn’t been commented on for a while but was looking for some advice... having a similar scenario to Eabx. I am due on my period around Monday coming, so in 3 days. I have weird periods (came off the pill around 4 months ago).

I came off the pill last year too but hormonal acne flared up so ran straight back into the arms of birth control. I’m off it again now (for family planning reasons). When I was off the pill last time (for around 9 months) my periods were a bit weird. I spotted for a few days then had my period then spotted after so felt like I has periods forever. Came off the pill again and it’s similar now.... however....

I had unprotected sex with my partner at my peak time according to the ovulation sticks I use. A week or so after that I spotted for around 3 days... I assumed I was going to spot for a week or so before my period (like I did last month), but it lasted 3 days. That was around a week agoish and 6DPO.

I have a hosp appointment next week and blood tests to see what’s going on and i I have PCOS due to length of bleeds.

ANYWAY... I have used ovulation tests this whole month daily. The reason being is that this is the first month of using them and I wanted a clear picture of my levels the whole month to compare to others in the future. The tests the past 4/5 days have been what I think perhaps are positive. I am wondering what this means??

Sorry for the long story, i’m a bit Confused and wanted to give a full picture.

Sorry typo - it meant to say tests at hospital to see IF I have PCOS or any other underlying issues.
