Early Implantation

I’ve recently had a mmc. (Empty Sac) One thing that keeps running through my head is when I implanted and I think that was the reason for a failed pregnancy.

I’m pretty certain, like 95% sure, that I implanted at 5DPO. I had a very sharp pain then niggling pain on my left side which was similar to when I implanted with my son. I ovulated from my left side as well but about 8pm. Implantation was about 7pm so wasn’t a full 5 days.

I think this was why my pregnancy failed as the fertilised egg didn’t have time to hatch and do it’s thing.

I got my BFP at 9dpo on a 25miu test.

I’d like some closure so I’m curious to see if anyone thinks the same as me.

I'm sorry for your loss @LosingtheTTCplot I've had 2 MMCs, both the embryos stopped growing at about 5.5 weeks (had early scans at 6 weeks with both). We had never been given answers as to why as my recurrent mc tests have been normal. My second pregnancy I know implantation was at 8dpo.

I had the nk cells biopsy test pregnancy privately in February and had my follow up consultation a couple of weeks ago and the professor told me that for that type of miscarriage, he believed that the babies were genetically normal and it was my uterine environment that possibly caused an issue after implantation, typically caused by a hormonal imbalance. I don't have raised nk cells. He's prescribed cyclogest to take from 7dpo. This will be my first cycle taking it.

I think the hardest thing is it's unlikely anyone will be able to say for definite what causes early miscarriages (I've had 3 losses now and now children).

Best wishes x
