I had an ovarian cyst rupture back at the end of February. I didn't have a period that month and read it was probably because of the cyst (corpus luteum) then March period was barely anything, 3-4 days of painless bleeding. We decided to TTC in April. April and May periods normal.

Then it all goes a bit Confused was supposed to ovulate on 30th June so we DTD all around then. Felt pregnant a two weeks later but -ve tests. Lots and lots of abdominal pains similar to stretching pains. AF arrives 15th June, again light 3/4 days barely any blood. Still "feel" pregnant and get some very light +ve tests on frer. Abdominal pain is still there, feels like pain in ovaries and switches sides.

Continue to test and faint line disappears, now all tests show BFN. No bleeding.

It's now weeks later and I am still getting PG symptoms - nausea (mild) crampy stretching pains, I'm starving all the time and I need to wee loads.

I'm worried, I think I need to see GP but can anyone offer any advice?

I would talk to GP. Would say you could be, heard some people never get a strong positive.

Thanks @Em39ma I appreciate your reply. I will call my doctor and get an appointment.

It's all so confusing.

Just to clarify - a corpus luteum cyst is simply the remnant left on the ovary from when a follicle bursts at ovulation. It generally disappears by the time af arrived if not pregnant.

While it happens because of a cyst (follicle), it's not the same as a burst ovarian cyst. Those can be life threatening, in the most extreme cases. A corpus luteum simply shows you've ovulated.

Sorry - I know I'm an annoying pedant.

thanks @physicskate - In my case I only know that I was in the most severe pain of my life (worse than labour) and I couldn't lay, sit or stand. I was admitted to hospital and the pain slowly disappeared. They scanned me (CT) and all they could see was the "shell" of a large corpus luteum. They advised me it had probably filled with blood/pus/stuff and exploded. That was it.
