Nexplanon removal Glasgow

I am having no luck getting my nexplanon removed by the NHS due to this service being suspended due to COVID-19.

Has anyone used a private clinic in Glasgow for this service recently? The closest one still offering appointments during Covid I have been able to find is in Edinburgh

Hey,

I'm in the same position. I'm desperate to get my implant out but the NHS still aren't doing removals.

Where did you find in Edinburgh that is doing removals? Or have you found anywhere in Glasgow?

Hey, sorry to hear you're having the same issues. It turns out the clinic in Edinburgh weren't offering nexplanon removals after all so I couldn't find a single place to get it removed in the end.

I probably shouldn't admit this but I managed to get it out at home with some help. It really isn't too hard to get out

If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to get it out? I feel like it's a better option than waiting who knows how long for the NHS.

I ordered a sterilised scalpel from eBay and an arterial clamp (which sounds super scary but it's basically a set of tweezers that look like blunt scissors). The tweezer things were essential and I don't think I could have kept a grip of the tiny end of the implant without them as the tips of them lock in place.

You tube has loads of videos of how to take them out, you'll need someone to help you push the implant up to the surface of the skin while you make the cut or vice versa.
