He has had this problem for years - he can't ejaculate. It has happened twice in the last year. I try to be understanding, but we are now talking about children and I ask - how does he think that is going to happen?

He sticks his head in the sand and thinks it will be fine. But to conceive you have to have sex every day of the fertile window (and ejaculate obviously) unless I'm mistaken? He would find it difficult to ejaculate once in a blue moon, doing it several days on the trot , possibly for several months. would be impossible.

He is finally going to see the GP but is there even a way for the doctor to fix this? If the doctor suggests changes to diet or exercise It will feel hopeless. Has anyone had this issue and did you overcome it and how?

I can't offer much advice, but technically you only need to DTD once during the fertile window to conceive, you'll just have to time it perfectly if he may only manage once a month. Using tools like OPKs, checking your cervical position, monitoring CM and charting your BBT will give you the best chance possible if you can only DTD once each cycle. The advice to DTD every other day is more valid if you're not tracking ovulation, and apparently going from every other day to every day during your fertile window only increases your changes from around 30% to 35% so not a huge difference. I'd check all of this by doing some reading online, but I believe the day that has the highest chance of conception is the day before ovulation x

Can he ejaculate on his own? If so you could self inseminate perhaps.
And what did you mean by If the doctor suggests changes to diet or exercise It will feel hopeless. just that that would seem like it won’t work?
