One step strip tests, what do you think?

I could be anywhere from about 6-11 dpo, I haven’t tracked ovulation and my cycles can be a bit random. I took two strip tests and they had the most absolute faintest shadow of a line on them, not even sure if you will see it in this photo. Do they all have this very squinty line?

I've been using one step tests this month and only yesterday read the reviews and think they're probably a total waste of (not much) money. They have so many marks in them it is hard to see whether there are lines or shadows and some people were reporting that they weren't getting lines when they were over 5 weeks pregnant.

I would suggest doing another brand. If there is a line, it'll more than likely appear on a more reliable test by now.

Good luck!

Ah ok! Will order some FRER xx

Following as I've just ordered a pack. I've read really mixed reviews but I thought it was more common to get a false negative than a false positive so that's a good sign. Defo would try another brand though. Best of luck!

I think they're reliable although this pregnancy I got a line like yours about 13 dpo then slightly darker but it was always very faint, I stopped testing after a week as it was worrying me that it wasn't getting darker but I'm now 32 weeks. Maybe it depends on the batch as my last pregnancy before this it was a very strong line from the start

FRER should come next week, I’ll keep updated if it comes back bfp but I’m pretty doubtful after reading reviews of how dodgy these tests can be x

I got a really strong line on one when I got pregnant with DD but it was the day AF was due. I think they can be easy to misinterpret if you are testing early and looking for squinters as you see the indent lines. If you are testing much nearer to day AF due then you should get a noticeable pink line.

I can see see the line I think. Definitely get yourself a frer test.

I used to swear by one step until I was actually pregnant! I really doubt they do check hCG down to 10iu/ml. They were so faint, and even after I saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks, it was still very faint! Yes, I realise that urine concentration has a lot to do with it.

There is a batch expiring in Sep or Oct 2020 which are complete duds. Every single strip showed nothing, even when I was pregnant and I've since seen reviews from others complaining of the same.

This week (I'm TTC again), I had the faintest of lines on a one step. Tested with a first response and nothing. AF arrived today!!!

I'm a habitual tester, so as a cheapy, they are ok if you do that, but I always check with a FRER when unsure, or IF it shows a positive.

Used Poundland ovulation tests and preg tests - work perfectly. The lines will be there when you actually ovulate or are pregnant. I couldn't get a positive ovulation test for ages as assumed it would be around 10-14 days before period and kept missing it. Actually ovulate 8-9 days before period - once I discovered that, I saw the line and got pregnant straight away (confirmed by Poundland test again) Line very faint at very beginning of pregnancy and got stronger after a few days. There is no need to spend a fortune on tests. Tests will show positive when positive
