Waiting to TTC #3 - anyone else?

I already have DS1 who is 4 this month & DS2 9months. We have decided (subject to corona being under control) to TTC for #3 next year. We are super excited. I’m expecting lots of “are you just trying to get a girl” comments!

@CosmicMonkey I know, wishful thinking though. I'd only be about 11/12DPO, so even if I did get a faint line on a frer, I'd still be paranoid it was an evap line or something, as would be too good to be true🙉xx

I ovulated Monday/yesterday so not going to be testing for a couple of weeks, I totally lied about not testing for ovulation and decided to give it another go and the tests actually came out positive when I would normally ovulate too so I know my body is back to normal at least. We just had sex everyday anyway leading up to when I’d expect to ovulate whether the test said I was or not, that’s far more than I’ve every done any other time I’ve been pregnant. We were exhausted 😆!!

@DontStandSoClose 😂 it’s got to be done! We did it so much and 2x on the day I think I conceived which was dc birthday lol. Poor DP was exhausted after 16 hour shifts but said it was worth it now haha! I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread and fingers crossed will be seeing some more bfps 🥰

@Chlo2701 just keep jumping on your OH 🤣 I had strong ovulation pains the evening before and OH had gone bed early so we did it twice the next morning within the hour and I’m certain that’s when it happened. So if you feel those ovulation pains jump straight on him like I did haha

I’m stressing what families reaction will be as this will be a huge shock we have joked this evening that we just keep our distance and all being well just turn up with a baby and say surprise 😆 Cant even think about work at the minute hopefully I have a few weeks to think about it as they are making redundancies at the moment. I really do sounds like a negative nancy reading this!

Oh don't you worry i did jump on OH.
Felt ovulation pains on Sunday night & got my peak on Clearblue digital Monday morning.
So in total we bonked fri, sat, sun, mon & tues so think we covered it🤞🏻
But I covered it last month & nothing happened 🙄
Anyway this is my third month of tracking everything so I'm trying to think it's 3rd time lucky & all that.
2DPO today & AF due 21st June, so I think I might secretly test Fathers Day morning, if AF doesn't greet me first thing in the morning 🤦‍♀️ as I'd be 11 or 12DPO so should show up on a FRER.
Please keep me posted on how you're getting on. Hope the morning sickness is kind to you once that kicks in🤮🙈x

We had sex on sat, sun, mon and then twice on Tuesday (second time was more recreational). I think I ovulated on Tuesday, I got my peak on the ovulation test at 11pm on Monday so I assume that means I ovulated the day after? I’ve never actually bothered doing any of this testing business the other 3 times I’ve got pregnant, literally just had sex around when I think I ovulated. I’ve had to actually google what it all means “LH peak” etc etc.

We’ll try and keep up every other day for the next couple of weeks, I just find it hard work these days though. Our children are up late at night with the light evenings but then still up early in the morning, they also get in our bed during the night so the window for sex is minute. We actually resorted to putting them a film on and sneaking off in the afternoon one day as we were too exhausted having to stay up late to have sex and then still get up stupidly early with them.

@Chlo2701 wow that’s really interesting I have never tested for ov so if you had your pains then positive the next morning I’m more than confident it was our two times that did it! 😂 we sound like such animals but sometimes a girls got to jump on their OH at every chance I would definitely say you’ve covered it! We did the month before and nothing but then this month it happened. I’m getting so excited now that when the time comes to tell everyone I don’t think I will be nervous at all. As you say it’s our life and our little family. Definitely test on Father’s Day morning i got mine on 11dpo. I thought they didn’t work last month but I obviously just hadn’t conceived. Will keep popping on and hope to see that bfp!

@DontStandSoClose I get confused with all the parts in the cycle! I’ve learnt so much from MN in the last 2 months that I didn’t know existed. From what @Chlo2701 says I think you feel pain and then it’s the next day you ov! I know exactly what you mean about the little ones! I’m quite ashamed to say on that morning we did it twice. We did it and came downstairs and because we didn’t want to go back upstairs incase we woke the children we did it in the kitchen 😑 but if it’s worked from that I’ll get over it in time lol! It’s exhausting trying to fit it in so it’s either put a film on and sneak off or wait until bedtime and too tired!

@Bumblebei @DontStandSoClose yes since I've been using the Clearblue ovulation tests I've definitely noticed my ovulation pains. I either feel the pains on the day of my peak or the day before my peak, so the Clearblue are definitely right. On the day I get my peak I've also noticed that's the day I get my egg white cervical mucus aswel
