Second time pregnancy - different to 1st?

Hi I was just looking to experience pls of how different second pregnancy felt compared to first.

DD is 2.5 and can barely remember pregnancy as it's been difficult few years since, but TTC #2 last month and got BFP this week which I can not believe. I feel totally fine except for eating more (could also be due to corona calories!) and just very very tired.

Could anyone share experiences pls?

Congratulations!!

My two pregnancies were very different. Have a DD(4) and a DS(13 weeks).

Second time round I found it much much harder. I don't know if it was because I was a bit older, or had DD1 to run around after but I had more sickness, more tiredness, more pains. My SPD with DS meant I couldn't walk by the end of it.

Loved my first pregnancy, hated my second. But I don't think that that's the status quo by any means!!!

DS is a dream baby so he makes up for the shitty pregnancy anyway. All worth it :-)

Take care of yourself more this time and make sure to rest when you need to. It will sometimes take its toll with a toddler to look after. Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months. X

I’m currently 19w with number two.
I think I’ve felt very similar to my first pregnancy, but I’d forgotten a lot of the finer details! I was very tired during my first trimester, but not as bad as I’m no longer working permanent night shifts which definitely helps! I still needed a good few weeks of early nights and DP was on weekend early rises to allow me to sleep in more.
I’ve got an almost 3 year old so a lot of my time is spent running round after him which is probably a good distraction from pregnancy aches and pains.
Congratulations on your BFP!

All mine have been different, with DD I had no idea I was PG until 8 weeks and her pregnancy was a complete breeze but DS1 and 2 were awful, sickness and nausea constantly, blinding headaches no energy what so ever, with DS2 it got that bad I was hospitalized at 13 weeks with severe dehydration, ketones that were 4+ and a dangerously high BP reading. Currently pregnant with baby #4 and the bad nausea and exhaustion is back so I'm assuming it's most likely a boy.

Every pregnancy is definitely different to any previous ones, you would think going through pregnancy before our bodies would know by now what it needs to do and let up a bit but nope for me it gets worse with every one, no idea why I keep doing this to myself 😂.

Congratulations x
