@MrsEmilyB I hope so! Given the amount of grief it’s given me this week 😂 knowing my luck it’s completely self inflicted 😑 heyhoe one can hope!!🤞 how are you feeling?

Ltay2 · 21/05/2020 12:05

@MrsEmilyB I'm in the same situation with weddings, although we have just accepted that we may not be able to go (it's abroad) and that TTC is more important for us. It's a friends wedding, more OH friends than mine really but obviously would be different if it was someone we were closer to. I have a few family weddings in this country next year too so depending on how long it takes to get pregnant I could be heavily at those too 🙈

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 12:29

@RobinRose - I'm okay thank you lovely ❤️😔 I've had some sad time, with a VERY strong posh ground coffee this morning. Did some yoga. Had a cuddle from DH who also fed me a black bean brownie 🖤 and I feel a bit more accepting. Although spotting has stopped again so who the feck knows what's happening. My periods have been weird as heck the last 2 months now. What are you up to today?

@ltay2 - ahh yeah I wouldn't worry too much if it were a friend's wedding! But it's DH's older sisters wedding and he is best man 😂😂 would be really harsh of us to piss on her parade with a baby!!

Juno231 · 21/05/2020 13:19

@mrsemilyB ha I'd probably still go for it! Worst case scenario you miss the wedding but OH still goes?

I've had three weddings planned abroad this year (Poland this weekend, France in August and India and November) so when we started TTC I was really worried about it all. Five months later and I'm still here lol and 2 of the 3 weddings have been cancelled anyway so I think I'm not gonna let plans get in the way of TTC anymore.

Saying that I'd love to change jobs but can't due to mat leave - I'll be really kicking myself though if 2 years down the line I still have no baby to show for it!

CaramelTart23 · 21/05/2020 13:31

Hellooooo you lovely bunch!!

Congratulations to all the BFPs 🎊🎉

Well May has been such an emotional roller coaster but I'm glad to be saying kudos and bring onnnn June!

I think quite a few of us have been getting weird spottings and late AF which doesn't help with our already-wacky emotions.

I've officially come on yesterday after a 5 day wait... she finally made her grand entrance 🙄

But I have never felt so relieved and happy? Does that sound crazy?

I'm feeling positive after many days of tears and feeling downright depressed.

But we are here in this present moment and I feel blessed that I have another cycle to up my game.

DH has been such a darling, he's ordered more ovulation sticks and after reading a lot of good things on preseed, he's also made a purchase on amazon for that ☺️

We're both keeping a track on how much fruits/veggies we eat and also our water intake. As it's getting warmer these days we wanted to ensure our bodies are healthy for conception. (We tend to nibble on food/lose our appetite when it's too hot)

So I have bought vitamins for DH and I will be taking seven seas pre conception tablets (after AF) and experiment on cooking healthy meals 😄

As always any advice from you ladies is greatly appreciated.

What snacks are good to eat for sperm production? And also anything I need to know to optimise my chances to conceive and implant?

Thanks for reading 🙏🙏

Ltay2 · 21/05/2020 13:47

@MrsEmilyB Oh yes doubt she'd be very forgiving if you give birth in the middle of her vows 😂

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 14:24

@juno231 ahh I couldn't not go, she's my SIL but also one of my best friends and was a bridesmaid at our wedding. Also I'm not risking either labouring alone or having to call him away (especially as she's getting married hours away from where we live!) We have said if it gets postponed etc if covid is still ongoing or whatever, that we wouldn't prevent again for the next date. We can survive one cycle off, but we'll get going again from July and if, for example, a baby came early then so be it!

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 14:41

@CaramelTart23 I know what you mean about relief. I think I'll feel relief when AF finally makes a proper appearance and I can get on with next cycle!

As we can't try in June, this cycle is going to be all about making my body as healthy as possible to give conception the best possible chance!

Sounds like you're on the right track! Pre conception vits and a healthy diet with good water intake are surely the 3 most important things 👍😊 my homeopath also recommended avoiding soy and not eating out of, or heating, plastic (eg, if having a microwave meal, for example, tip it into a bowl first to heat it rathe than in the plastic. And avoid putting plastic in the dishwasher etc).

Good spermy snacks (god that sounds GROSS 🤢😂) are Brazil nuts, almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts! Pumpkin seeds (there are some good roast pumpkin seen recipes on Pinterest). Blackberries are supposed to be good too.

Sausage1990 · 21/05/2020 16:20

Hi @WildButterfly we havnt used hormonal contraceptives for years and were preventing up until December 2019 and we sued condoms. Friends of mine recommended trying the brand SKYN (in the uk) and as condoms go they feel nicer. They're definitely worth a try if you're not confident on natural cycles tyoe contraception. Xx

Thanks @MrsEmilyB and @Sausage1990! I’ll see what my partner thinks, I’m sure he won’t be so thrilled about wearing condoms again, but it is what it is! 😂
It can be quite difficult trying to organise life around hypothetical due dates, especially since my daughter from a previous relationship arrived at 32 weeks for no particular reason other than my water breaking 🤷🏻‍♀️.

MrsRSS · 21/05/2020 17:55

Guys has anyone had weird periods?! I’ve been having cramps for days and thought my period was starting this morning. Had some fresh red bleeding and passed a small clot and then seems to have stopped but still cramping?!

RobinRose · 21/05/2020 18:18

@MrsEmilyB sounds like a strong coffee was well deserved! Love a brownie 🤤 can’t say I’ve had a black bean one though! Urgh how frustrating! Worked from home today, spent the best part of the day hugging my hot water bottle and finding an afternoon tea delivery for my mums birthday! How’s your day been?

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 18:35

@mrsrss - me! Last period I started spotting at 6dpo on and off... Then eventually had a "period" (2 days of light brown bleeding). Never had one like it in my life. This time round I've been spotting since 8dpo (now I'm 11dpo) - on and off, spotting only really in the mornings on waking. Negative pregnancy test. No idea what's happening!

Newbie0818 · 21/05/2020 18:37

Hi @CaramelTart23 👋🏼 Loving your positivity bringing in a new cycle 👏🏼🤘🏼💜 I can recommend Deoiciously Ella’s app for healthy veggie recipes (you can add meat if you want to). They’re so easy, so delicious, and surprisingly not as expensive as I was expecting. And my hubby has been eating a couple of Brazil nuts a day to help with sorry production 😁 so have I. We’ve also started taking Pregnacare for him and her so hopefully that will help. I’ve also been doing fertility yoga for the follicular phase (there’s tonnes of videos on YouTube for follicular phase, ovulation, implantation etc). Good luck!

@MrsRSS that’s exactly what I had. I had a day and a half of red blood with one small clot (only when wiping), then a couple days of nothing, then full on af. But my cycle was so long I just put it down to a blockage or just a clear out.

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 18:40

@RobinRose they're soooooo good!! My day has been okay. I've been pretty busy with meetings to keep me distracted. We've been SO good with our food recently and the gourmet burger truck was coming to our village tonight so we walked down to get amazing burgers! I had a veggie onion bhaji burger and he had a beef brisket one. Yum yum! Back onto being clean and healthy tomorrow. But for tonight it's burgers and brownies!! I hope you're feeling better soon xxx

MrsEmilyB · 21/05/2020 18:41

@Newbie0818 ooh I didn't know deliciously Ella had an app! Off to download it!

Fluffkins14 · 21/05/2020 18:44

Has anyone got any suggestions for not eating everything in sight 🤣🤣 been exercising the usual amount 3/5hours a day

Ltay2 · 21/05/2020 18:50

Wondering if anyone can offer any advice?

It seems I have missed my peak which I assume would have been later last night or early this morning.

Not sure now whether to log yesterday as 'positive' on my other apps as now I have all negative entries and so nothing has changed in relation to ovulation predictions.

I had really heavy EWCM and very low and soft cervix on Tuesday but yesterday and today CM has been a lot lighter and more creamy so I'm not sure what to think of it all. I didn't drink much yesterday with everything going on with OH so maybe that could have had some influence too as I know I'm still catching up on fluids today, still feeling a little dehydrated?

I haven't been tracking BBT as my sleep has been so all over the place I always forget or haven't had a solid 3-4 hours so I don't have a lot else to go off.

Ltay2 · 21/05/2020 18:51

Sorry forgot to attach chart.

Newbie0818 · 21/05/2020 19:01

@MrsEmilyB yes! It’s great. Some yoga and meditation bits and bobs on there too. It’s free for a week but then just 99p per month after. Well worth it.

@Ltay2 going by the opk’s id say your peak was probably soon after that one on the 20th. I read that ewcm prepares your body for ovulation so it could be last night?

MrsRSS · 21/05/2020 19:03

@Newbie0818 & @MrsEmilyB that’s so interesting. I’m glad it’s not just me. I had my first normal period last month after a horrendous molar pregnancy miscarriage in January. And now this month this... God knows what it means. I think it’s going to take a while for my body to work out what it’s doing. Sighs!!! How was the period after for you both?!

Madz123 · 21/05/2020 19:23

Had a few days away from MN so congratulations to any BFP'S! Just wondering if anyone has had what feels like quite bad ovary pain before AF? I'm very confused at what my body is playing at. I'm on CD35 had BFN on IC and for the last few days (most intense yesterday) I've had ovary pain. No idea if it's late ovulation, AF on it's way or (what I'm most worried about) an ectopic? Ahh 🙄

Ltay2 · 21/05/2020 19:27

@Newbie0818 I think I have just missed it. Although just done another tonight (19.25 entry) and the line is back again but faint. This afternoon there was nothing at all 🙈 Fermometer is still reading it as 0 though which is annoying!

Hopefulmummie · 21/05/2020 19:54

@Fluffkins14 I've been eating everything too!

Ive been so tired all day and was doing my workout that I've been doing for months and had to stop as I thought I was going to throw up! Hoping this is positive

Newbie0818 · 21/05/2020 19:56

@MrsRSS well that one was only last week so I guess time will tell. Though I’m hoping I won’t find out for another 9 months 🤞🏼🤣✨

@Ltay2 I suppose you didn’t manage to DTD what with hubby’s situation?
