@MrsEmilyB thank you, the stupid thing is that’s what I’ve told myself but so much nicer to hear from someone else 🙈 I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling low today, it can be hard to stay positive every day about it but I’ve got my fingers crossed for you 🤞💕

@OrangeJ I would have to tell him because I definitely would not be able to keep it a secret, but equally it would be a lovely present!

@CaramelTart23 I’d hold off until the morning for FMU 🤞 but if you’ve already had a faint line on an IC then I can’t say I would be able to wait either!

MrsEmilyB · 18/05/2020 17:30

@GemmaMay3291 yes! We are going to walk the dogs once DH has finished work and my new book arrived today so I'll get engrossed in that before bed I expect.

@CaramelTart23 - hold your pee for a couple of hours and do a test!

Newbie0818 · 18/05/2020 17:51

@MoonW I didn’t know soy sauce was a thing! I love the stuff 😨

@OrangeJ early present! Or you could put it in a post envelope/ little parcel with his name on it and pretend like someone sent him a little gift. I’ve planned a range of surprises for when I get my bfp 🤣 got a treasure hunt all made up and ready to go 🤣

MoonW · 18/05/2020 17:55

@Newbie0818 I love it too!! Neither did I until recently when I saw someone commenting that it should be avoided, but then I don’t know the science behind it to say whether that is truly the case or not unfortunately (the internet is very conflicted when I’ve looked it up 😩)

@MrsEmilyB ooh I love a good book and being able to snuggle in for the night with a new read 💕

Bear712 · 18/05/2020 18:13

@OrangeJ I love the treasure hunt idea! What kinds of things have you got planned? I’d love to do something like that when it finally happens for me!

OrangeJ · 18/05/2020 18:24

Good luck @MoonW and @CaramelTart23 🤞

@Bear712 he’s lately been obsessing about buying a van and converting it to a camper so we can go away for long weekends etc. I might see if there’s a baby hammock or something similar and give him that? Or you know how some birthday cakes have the centre cut away and a load of M&M sin the middle? I had a wild idea I could do that with a pregnancy test 😂 I think that would be a bit of a shock though lol!

@Newbie0818 I love the idea of a secret gift. My mum actually sent us something the other day that we didn’t know about so I don’t think he’d be suspicious either! I like to think I’m creative but not sure my creative juices stretch to a treasure hunt. 😂 well done you though. Sounds lovely 😊 x

Newbie0818 · 18/05/2020 18:36

@MoonW wow it’s hard to keep track of do’s and dont’s isn’t it 😱

@orangej yeah, clues written on little cut out hearts and everything. I’m about as excited to use them as getting the bloody positive 😂 hope he enjoys the surprise x

SmileyT · 18/05/2020 18:38

Congrats @OrangeJ 🥳 🎉 you sound so thoughtful sure your OH will love whatever you end up doing to tell him. I definitely wouldn't be able to keep it to myself for a week as DP tracks my cycle as much as I do 🙈, but if he won't guess it would be such a lovely surprise.

@MrsEmilyB ahh really hope you feel more yourself after an early night with your book, the TWW is hard on everyone, however much we try to relax we want it so bad it hurts. Really hoping that you get your BFP and we don't see you on that July bus x

@CaramelTart23 good luck testing if you've had a faint positive already bet it will be a stronger line today 🤞

Littlepeas2 · 18/05/2020 20:01

Hey ladies! Hope you’re all well. I’m roughly 14/15 DPO and earlier today I had pink tinged mucus. No more since but I’m worried it’s the start of something :( god how bloody emotional is this process!!!

Did anyone have this in any previous pregnancies? If so what was the outcome?

And is anyone testing soon?! I’m ready to see some BFP’s!!

MrsEmilyB · 18/05/2020 21:53

@SmileyT thank you lovely 💗

I've had a really scary situation tonight! I made a beautiful lentil and adzuki bean bolognese and put a stick of celery in it. We never eat celery (I hate the smell) but the recipe asked for it. A few minutes after starting eating my hands, throat and lips started prickling and I felt super hot and just not right at all. I went outside and DH came out and started panicking as I had gone bright red and patchy all over! My arms and face and chest were scarlet, as well as, weirdly, my knees, under my boobs and under my butt! My throat went tight and I was wheezing. I didn't even think it was the food and ran upstairs into a cold shower and DH bought me anti-histamines. It was only when we came back downstairs I thought through the ingredients of dinner and celery is the only thing I wouldn't usually eat.

It was so scary! I still don't feel right. I don't want to tell friends/family in case they think I'm being dramatic. My face is still on fire though. But I've never been allergic to anything before! Only the migraine med the GP prescribed me once.

My main concern - DH gave me Cetirizine....have I ruined all chances this month?! 😭😭😭😭😭

SmileyT · 18/05/2020 22:00

@MrsEmilyB oh that sounds super scary, you wouldn't even think about adding it in to your meal would you 😩 I don't think cetirizine is bad for fertility is it? I googled it before as i've been taking it for my hayfever. You are definitely not being dramatic so don't worry about that. Sending you lots of love xx

RobinRose · 18/05/2020 22:35

@MrsEmilyB migraine has gone! Woohoo! Although i am certain the migraine and the upset stomach I’ve had today are sure signs af is on her way.

Hope you feel a bit better in the morning! I had a reaction to egg a few years ago (chest got tight, wheezing, throat hurt) which prompted me to have an allergy test (I’m allergic to a bunch of things). It might be worth getting one done to be in the safe side? Sounds like you had quite a reaction!

RobinRose · 18/05/2020 22:44

@MrsEmilyB oh and I will try your tip next time!

MrsEmilyB · 18/05/2020 23:03

@RobinRose ohh weird! Can you eat egg now? Did you ever have a reaction before? How did you go about getting a test? I feel much better now, thank you.

MrsEmilyB · 18/05/2020 23:04

@SmileyT I hope not! I'm just worried as I've tried so hard to not take any meds at all whilst ttc unless desperate xx

Sausage1990 · 18/05/2020 23:44

Gosh @MrsEmilyB that's not nice at all. I would advise you go to your gp to get a referral to an allergy specialist for testing in a safe hospital environment. It may take a while with covid but it's definitely worth perusing. I would highly recommend using the NHS for this rather than anyone in alternative medicine or homoeopathy or something like that because 1. The tests where they look at your hair or blood if whatever aren't accurate and have no scientific evidence and 2. Because you had such a nasty reaction, you need to make sure your next reaction isn't anaphylaxic and if so you need to be in a safe place. I've had allergy testing and it's all set uot I be super safe for this reason.

And antihistamines can be safe in pregnancy... See this link below. Try not to worry. Sometimes with medication the risks if not taking something don't outweigh the benefits of avoiding it (in the short term or an emergency)! Sending a virtual hug xxx

@MrsEmilyB no I cant! I’m ok with it in Yorkshire puddings though, I’ve heard it could be to do with the temperature it’s cooked at? I definitely wouldn’t eat say an omelette because of the reaction I have with it. Well I never used to eat eggs (very fussy eater) so when I did start I always had the reaction but I didn’t think anything of it. It wasn’t until I met my partner and mentioned to him the reaction I was having while eating an omelette that he suggested I get a test done. I just rang my doctors, told them I thought I was allergic and they did a test. My allergies aren’t on the severe end of things, perhaps that’s why I didn’t see a specialist although this is something I have requested! I may push to see a specialist when with is all over.

12dpo still not very dark but it is getting darker. I'm feeling very shit this morning, throat hurts and like I've got a head cold. Not sure if it's all related! X

Chatterbox May Bus - part 4
Newbie0818 · 19/05/2020 08:33

@MrsEmilyB wow that must have been terrifying! Definitely pursue an allergy testx

@RobinRose glad you’re feeling better x

@Aimy1 ah that’s a lovely clear line. I’ve heard that cold symptoms can occur ✨✨

So I’ve had sex dreams all night, think my body is trying to tell me something 🤣💦

Hopefulmummie · 19/05/2020 08:46

Good morning. How is everyon

@Aimy1 congratulations on your bfp and anyone else I've missed

5 days until AF due for me and im getting nervous lol
This is my chart I don't think my temp has still elevated like this. Is this a good sign?
Or is it too early too tell?

MrsEmilyB · 19/05/2020 08:48

@Sausage1990 - ohh yes. This definitely isn't something for homeopathy! Homeopathy 100% has its uses, but not this! I've phoned the GP and they'll call me back this morning 😊

@RobinRose yes definitely push for a referral after corona!

@aimy1 - I've heard cold symptoms are common too! Rest up xx

9dpo today. Brown spotting continues so idk if AF is coming for me. Light cramps too. I'm due AF Friday. Typical that only since ttc I've had spotting! Cervix is medium and very high though.

bluebubbles12 · 19/05/2020 08:50

@MrsEmilyB that does sound scary! Hope you're feeling better this morning.

AF still hasn't arrived for me, so that's a little bit of relief when I thought I was out Sunday night. I'm sure she's probably just playing a trick on me though and will be lurking right around the corner.

Took an IC this morning and it's negative, that's at 11DPO. I'd say if I squinted under the right lighting conditions I could maybe see the hint of a shadow of a line, almost like I could see where it should be 😂 I've never looked at a test so closely though, so maybe every test looks like that if you look THAT closely haha.

Will just have to see what each day brings now, but I'd say it's looking unlikely.

Aimy1 · 19/05/2020 08:53

Thank you, luckily I'm not working at the minute so can definitely pass my other 2 kids to the oh and get some rest 😂 my only issue now, I work with children and have been asked to return to work the 1st june, I'll only be a few weeks and know that the first trimester you have to be careful anyway, so what do you lovely lot advice me doing? X

Aimy1 · 19/05/2020 09:07

I work in a childminders home, so no chance of any sort of social distancing between either the kids or staff x
