So we seem to be absolutely hammering through our May Bus 2 thread. My gosh we can chat! But you have been vital to my sanity this cycle ❤️❤️❤️ I've tagged as many as i can think of at the end of a working week 🤯 please tag the others as I absolutely haven't the brain power!

@SmileyT - artificial sweeteners I moved to stevia, I’ve lost a lot of weight over the past couple of years (like 8 stone) and I’ve reduced my sweetener intake gradually too, used to have 3 sweeteners in my coffee now it’s 1 but recently I did move to stevia. I can’t live without it lol xxx

@SmileyT oh I didnt know that. I had my usual cramps around ovulation and ew cm although I dont actually properly track it. I then had cramps in my left side a couple of days after (I know that would not be implantation) I'm now about. My app says to test in 7 days do guessing it thinks I'm about 5-7dpo. Period due the 22nd. I hate this waiting. Been trying since december and dont seem to be getting anywhere. @Franklydear its horrible isnt it, I went full force on symptom spotting last month and now I have the same symptoms so thinking I'm out. Just want the next week/10 days to hurry up! X

Hi ladies so I took another test yday evening when the amazon delivery arrived but I was so tired I couldn’t post.
I just hope it sticks and AF doesn’t arrive on Friday. Thanx for all the reassurance and advice.

@Pixielou16 - haha I'm definitely no guru - I read a buuuuunch of blogs and old wives tales and thought "sod it, I'll do them all" 😂 I love raw spinach so I feel your pain there. Bulk making food helps me make the time - then I'll eat roughly a quarter of what I've made. It's not exact, but a few more or fewer grams here and there don't hurt! My fitness pal is a dick - I went into organ failure from anorexia in 2016 (probably why I'm so paranoid about my fertility!) and I was so obsessed. I don't find life sum does the same and I'm not sure why. Maybe because the interface is friendly?! 🤔

@mrsi2020 so, from what the homeopath told me, soy contains isoflavones (plant oestrogen) which bind to our own oestrogen receptors and throw our hormeones off. That's all I know though, I haven't looked into it!

@Mrsi2020 my biggest issue is diet drinks, we always have diet 7-up and diet ginger beer in the fridge and when I bake I always use sweeteners rather than sugar. I normally just get whichever one I see is stevia the best?

@Aimy1 yeah I read an article the other day which really put me off of symptom spotting, as it basically said it's pretty impossible to distinguish what your body is doing in the TWW until implantation. Have you tried tracking ovulation with opks or bbt? Or are you just having regular sex throughout the month?

@GingerBaby89 Congratulations 🥳 how many dpo are you? The CB digital is positive right? False negatives are common, false positives are very rare x

I havent used anything to track this month just going off my cramps, cm and cervix position (which I know isnt reliable) but I've done it a few months now so can pretty much tell what's going on. Weve been having sex every day pretty much but every other since I think ive ovulated. I have began to take my temp the last few days so if dont conceive this month will keep it up for next @SmileyT x

@SmileyT - marginally 😩 I don't know how to get it to rise quicker. I'm sure there's a progesterone issue going on! That and my short-ish luteal phase of 10-12 days. I definitely used to love artifical sweetners; sugar free syrup in coffee was my vice! Personally, having looked into the ingredients, there's hella chemicals in them. I've now been using a few drops of maple and carob syrup if I need a sweetness, and it is impossible to avoid all refined sugar! 😩

Ahhh @RobinRose those flipping smug flashing smileys! Get yourself some IC OPKs girl and test 4 times a day until you're reaching a good rise! Hopefully your body is just gearing up mega well to pop an amazing follicle!

@juno231 - my average LP is 12 days, but it can be anything from 10-14. The homeopath said 10 isn't a massive barrier to getting PG however ideally it'd be at least 12. Not really sure what I can do to lengthen it - any ideas? Thought about supplementing vitex again?

@NemoBear7 - you are not lazy at all! You're doing the massively important things! I've just got a proper type A personality 😂 so I am a real perfectionist - does mean my stress is always high though which is a bad thing for a baby!

@Madz123 - oh bless you! As far as I know, things made from pea protein are a little better than soy, but also seitan, beans, legumes and nuts have protein too! I've also bought an organic brown rice protein powder to up my intake. You can only do what you can do xx

@MrsEmilyB Thank you for the info on macros! I have set up MyFitnessPal again with those. Been struggling logging food on my Fitbit app as it doesn't allow you to customise macro goals 🙄 I was following a Keto diet back in January which worked well for me weight wise but I felt it wasn't the best for TTC so stopped. I desperately need to lose some weight but also look after my body so I feel I'm a bit at a loss as to what to do for the best 🙈

I think there’s a lot of worry here about diet & too much analysing, I really wouldn’t worry too much about things, especially if you are early into TTC & generally eat a healthy balanced diet.

Sweeteners aren’t great no but I’ve had years of drinking black coffee with the cheap sweeter sweeteners & when there was big scares about them the other year being carcinogenic I asked my oncology teams about links & switched to stevia & they told me the validity of the research papers wasn’t great & even though i (at that point) drank around 6 cups a day it was nothing to worry about. Ones that contain aspartame are the ones to watch for.

Things like soy is in most things as a preservative so to avoid us very difficult & ppl of such varied diets get pregnant all the time I honestly wouldn’t worry. Just my opinion xxx

I have been pregnant having had lots of sweeteners & drinking alcohol in the recommended amounts & with a healthy diet just lots of veg, not a huge amount of carbs or caffeine & good exercise 🤷‍♀️

Femometer has updated my ovulation day to CD14 according to temp even though I got a peak lh test on CD15

What do you all think
