Hi Ladies,

So we seem to be absolutely hammering through our May Bus 2 thread. My gosh we can chat! But you have been vital to my sanity this cycle ❤️❤️❤️ I've tagged as many as i can think of at the end of a working week 🤯 please tag the others as I absolutely haven't the brain power!

@Newbie0818 I think another test on a few days would a reasonable idea, just to check. I think we all have massive paranoia induced by ttc! I'm sure you aren't at the menopause but at least you have bloods lined up just to check.

@Juno231 I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot and think about it... But it's really difficult!

Sorry for those ladies waiting for a static smiley- keep testing & DTD every other day just in case. Fc static is around the corner!

Anyone else testing soon?

Skyla01 · 11/05/2020 13:20

@Sausage1990 do you know when AF is due? This time in the cycle I start imagining if AF doesn't come... and getting a test... and how I will tell friends and family.... And then I'm like shut up brain because it just makes it harder when AF rocks up!

Franklydear · 11/05/2020 13:22

@Newbie0818, I am getting paranoid with that too, but at 42, I think I am more justified

Juno231 · 11/05/2020 13:24

@Sausage1990 @Skyla01 I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel so silly even voicing it as it's bound to be nothing and then it'll be proof it was all in my head. Read the other day that even if an embryo makes it to implantation stage, like half of them fail at that point due to genetic anomalies, so in a way it comforts me in thinking it could be implantation even if AF shows and I'm not completely crazy.

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 13:24

@RobinRose @Skyla01 @Fluffkins14 @franklydear I’m glad I’m not the only one that worries!

Skip86 · 11/05/2020 13:32

@Newbie0818 I have only experienced the type of pain you're describing once. It was a couple of years ago but the memory has stuck with me because it was so strange - doubled over in pain all of a sudden, and for about 30-45 mins. I know it was ovulation pain but like I'd never felt before (or haven't since). I assume you're not doing opks or anything so late in your cycle? I really hope you get some answers soon, must be confusing and stressful.

Juno231 · 11/05/2020 13:38

@Newbie0818 I get paranoid about early menopause! Like all the time. My mum had it at 31 and her grandmother at 30 so I'm always worried I left it too late! Even did an egg reserve (amh) year last year.

Juno231 · 11/05/2020 13:38

Test last year *

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 13:45

@Skip86 oh wow! Must have been a tricky follicle! I haven’t been doing opk’s but I may do one later just to rule it out now you’ve said that! If it’s positive that’ll be three times this cycle I think I’ve ovulated 😂

@juno123 oh bless them that’s so hard. I’m sure you haven’t left it too late, I really hope you catch soon x

Skip86 · 11/05/2020 14:00

@Newbie0818 haha three times?! Oh you poor love! Hugs x

Franklydear · 11/05/2020 14:10

Cramps are gone, replaced by a funny dull pain/ache on my left side...

Hopefulmummie · 11/05/2020 14:24

Does anyone have any advice to help implantation?

ZRS86 · 11/05/2020 14:26

@BabyDust13 Congratulations on your BFP!

@SmileyT I’m not sure when I’m planning to test! I’m currently 9 DPO and had been planning to wait until Saturday but I’m not sure whether I can last that long now! I have a few cramps and my boobs are killing me. I didn’t sleep well last night and woke up several times with pain in my boobs. It definitely feels worse than any AF symptoms (AF due on Sunday). I’ll see how long I can hold out with not doing a test but I think I’ll cave tomorrow and see!

Pixielou16 · 11/05/2020 14:39

@MrsEmilyB please tell me your secrets Grin I'm trying to eat as much fruit and veg as poss, tried the seed cycle this cycle too. Wondering if dairy or gluten are a problem? Had to leave one Facebook group though because they only seemed to think you could eat dust.

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 14:41

OMG OMG OMG This cannot be real!!!!

Felt some pain in my side and felt like AF was here so did an OPK which came up positive very quickly. Thought "what the heck" and dipped an HPT in the pee and it came up with a line!!!! Dipped another 2 to check it wasn't a dud and they came back with a line too!!!

Now, I'm absolutely not going to get excited about this. I make out I'm 14DPO and I've been brown spotting for like 2 weeks and have just had some red with a red clot. I think either chemical or worst case, ectopic (given the side pain).

I think I'll wait til tomorrow and POAS again with FMU (this was fairly diluted) but depending on pain, possibly see if I can see someone about a scan to check for ectopic.

I'm fairly pragmatic and whatever happens, this is positive that I've actually got a BFP despite PCOS and trying for like 3 years!

Hoops, Rings and May Bus 3 Things!
Skip86 · 11/05/2020 14:45

@ApplePie86 that is so friggin exciting!! Have you ever had a positive line in the 3 years you've been trying? Omg 🎉 I have everything crossed for you!

RobinRose · 11/05/2020 14:46

Oh wow @ApplePie86! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 14:55

@skip86 I've never taken one before as was never tracking cycles and cycles were up to 6 months - so very little opportunity. And didn't fancy paying for them for daily tests for 6 months.

I can't quite believe it although 50/50 on whether it will go anywhere. Think it's probably better to remain fairly pessimistic as I absolutely don't want to get excited only for something to go dreadfully wrong :-(

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 15:00

@ApplePie86 omg I really hope it progresses well for you 💜✨🤞🏼

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 15:03

So prime example of something that’s made me so upset, I’m sure loads of you ladies will be able to sympathise.
Just been on the phone with my Nan to tell her I’ve posted her a little something and to expect it (just a little drawing I did to keep her spirits up). Instantly she asked me “is it a scan of a baby to tell me you’re pregnant?” 😢

Franklydear · 11/05/2020 15:12

Oh @newbie I know they mean well, but for fuck sake.... my mum stopped asking about 2 years ago when we were having a second one, after I lost it one day and told her the only reason we weren’t was to piss her off, ...

ApplePie86 · 11/05/2020 15:23

Thanks @Newbie0818

Sorry to hear about your Nan. It's so frustrating when people think when you decide to get pregnant it should just happen straight away.

Would be amazing if you got your BFP and everything went smoothly. What's the situation with your cycles again? This thread goes so quickly it's difficult to keep up!

OrangeJ · 11/05/2020 15:37

Oh no @Newbie0818 this is something my Nan would totally do too. (Btw how cute are you sending your nan a drawing ❤️). My Nan has NO tact. She always tells me she doesn’t know if she should be knitting anything or not...and she only ever knits baby things. I started telling her to knit if she wants but might have to put it away for a few years. Bless them.

My mum on the other hand is an angel. I told her in Dec that we were going to stop not trying and she’s never asked me about it. I know she struggled and even went through what she calls a ‘phantom’ pregnancy. Went to her scan (might have only been the 20 week one back then?) and there was nothing there 😢. I don’t know how that happens 💔

Newbie0818 · 11/05/2020 15:41

@Franklydear I don’t blame you for snapping! It’s really so intrusive and just presumptuous. But like you said they do mean well.

@ApplePie86 we haven’t even told anyone we’re ttc and haven’t dropped any hints or anything, they just expect it since we got married. We want it to be a nice surprise for everyone but my god do they make it hard!
With my cycles, I have no clue. Getting longer each month, this month was 52 if what I’ve had was actually a period. Came off the pill 8 months ago so I would’ve thought it would be sorted by now.
How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms apart from the spotting?

Hoping1 · 11/05/2020 15:41

@ApplePie86 fingers crossed for you so hope it is 3 years is heartbreaking time to want this I know because we been trying also for 3 years so long a time xxxx
