Good afternoon folks, I'm on cycle day 23, due to test on Sat/ Sun. I've had some light spotting last night and some more today. I've never experienced this before? It's almost a week until my period and I've not had any period symptoms. Does anyone know anything about implantation bleeding? Could it be that? It's scaring me to be honest, my heart just sank when I saw it, I'm assuming the worst and hoping I'm wrong.

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/06/2020 13:55

@murphs2 could be IB! That's a good thing cos it means you've implanted! Dates tally up too as it happens 6-12dpo usually. Good luck for the weekend, keep us posted!!

jaxs23 · 02/06/2020 14:52

Thank you everyone. @notyetamumbuttrying 12 DPO. Started testing at 10 DPO and kept seeing a very faint line.
This is a lucky thread and keeping my fingers crossed for everyone.

2020mission · 02/06/2020 14:54

@murphs2 I have been spotting for 3-4 days before my period comes on some cycles since starting TTC, so it definitely could be your period on the way. Sorry I don’t want to disappoint you but it’s better to keep in mind it’s a possibility so that you aren’t assuming it’s a pregnancy sign.

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/06/2020 15:01

Thanks @jaxs23 I really hope so! Could do with my bfp now!!

Lauralozzle · 02/06/2020 21:31

Think we’ve missed our chance this month. Tried yesterday - DH couldn’t finish - said it was too warm and too early. Wasn’t interested the rest of the day and went to bed late, so I was asleep before he came up.

He pretty much said he’s not a tap so I’m not pushing it again. He also said it’s too early in the morning cause he’s tired and too warm (weather) and not particularly in to it at the moment to I think I might stop for a bit. I don’t want to tell him exactly when I’m fertile as I think it’ll just turn him off - I try to be suggestive but it’s just not working at the moment.

He goes to bed much later than me - 1:00-2:00AM. I can’t stay awake that long and he’s too tired by the time he goes to bed. He’s playing computer games before that. Honestly, I feel like giving up and accepting that it’s not going to happen. He says he wants to try, but his actions speak louder than his words, to be honest.

Opk peak was yesterday, reckon ovulation is today - that’s us BD 1 day in fertile period two days before ovulation. The past year tells me that’s not enough. There will be no BFP for me this month.

I’m so frustrated with this at the moment. Feel like I need a break but also feel like I’m too old to take one!!!

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/06/2020 21:42

I feel for you @Lauralozzle they don't seem to get the importance of that 24 hours...and all we do to be ready for it and the wait we go through each and every month. Can you scare him a bit by talking about going to the drs for tests etc? That might make him step up a bit...or just do it less but make sure it's the day before ov and day of? That's what I've done before but I didn't get pg but I will eventually...hopefully!

murphs2 · 02/06/2020 21:47

Thank you, I know I have to stay realistic @2020mission but it's so hard not to believe what we are hoping it to be!!

Peach1204 · 02/06/2020 21:57

@Lauralozzle oh no, I understand why you're frustrated. We also have to make sure we are ready for dtd and track all of the timings so feel like it's more on us. Don't think I'd be too happy about the tired reason when he's gaming until the early hours. I do think it would be worth having a chat with him and hope he changes something to give you more of a chance. Xxx

BabyG123 · 02/06/2020 22:17

@Lauralozzle 100% worth having a chat. When successful that lifestyle will have to change with a baby around. Team work makes the dream work 😘

SarahTTC2020 · 03/06/2020 10:41

@Lauralozzle I felt like my DH was avoiding DTD for quite a few months when I'd come off the pill but we weren't actively trying. When two of his best friends announced pregnancies in April he suddenly became a lot more interested and talked about babies a lot.
I dropped a couple of things into conversation and then when I finally had a positive opk I took it downstairs to show him and say thateant our best chance was to have sex that day and so we did.
Our sex life had gone a bit dry because I ws going to bed a lot earlier but since I've explained that there's only a short fw , and that because I have 42 day cycles we don't have as many chances in a year as others he's been much more receptive.
He's 37 on Saturday so has taken him a long time to come round to the idea!!

Sakura54 · 03/06/2020 10:52

@jaxs23 congrats!

@murphs2 I spot for 2-3 days before most periods too, but hopefully it's a good sign for you!

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/06/2020 12:53

Sounds a bit like my husband @SarahTTC2020 he's 37 too (bday was feb) and only recently his friends have started having babies whereas mine did bk in their 20's! We have opposite cycles tho, mine are really short! 24-26 days so poor hubby doesn't get much of a break before I'm on him again trying to get him to the dtd 😆
It can be very unromantic can't it!!

SarahTTC2020 · 03/06/2020 15:52

@notyetamumbuttrying ah yes same! I've got about 9 girl cousins and they all had babies before 30 so I'm the last, whereas yeah dh friends are just doing it in their mid 30s!

Haha yes can be unromantic, we are only in cycle 1 so just trying to laugh about the awkwardness of it all

notyetamumbuttrying · 03/06/2020 17:44

Ah to be in cycle 1 again, it's like a distant memory 😆 @SarahTTC2020 I didn't use ov sticks or take any vitamins. I was using the Flo app tho so knew roughly when I ovulated. I just hope you don't get up to cycle 9 like me. I'm forever trying to find ways to not make it obvious that I'm jumping him cos it's baby making time lol!
