Hi everyone, I have a disability, so on top of everything else it has not been so easy for me this past week… I’ve been trying to find more space in my very small studio to exercise, but I’m still working on that… I woke up this morning, with such bad pain in my thigh that I’m on able to put pressure on my leg… Thankfully, because I had a stress fracture a few years ago in my foot, I have crutches, so I’ve been using those today… But does anyone have any ideas for what to do if you’re usually an active person and you don’t have much space to work with… Also, I only have two folding chairs in here Hi everyone, I have a disability, so on top of everything else it has not been so easy for me this past week… I’ve been trying to find more space in my very small studio to exercise, but I’m still working on that… I woke up this morning, with such bad pain in my thigh that I’m on able to put pressure on my leg… Thankfully, because I had a stress fracture a few years ago in my foot, I have crutches, so I’ve been using those today… But does anyone have any ideas for what to do if you’re usually an active person and you don’t have much space to work with… Also, I only have two folding chairs in here, I don’t usually use them because they’re slanted, so your back is lower than your knees… If anyone can help to find some folding chairs that are flat on Amazon, I would really really appreciate it. Also, since I’m in agony right now, what can I do to ease the pain? I tried to take a hot bath, it helped a bit but it’s still very painful.

Oh God, I’m sorry. I put this under the wrong heading… Anyway, hopefully somebody can help anyway.

Pilates only needs enough room for you to lie flat on the floor, if you can find something on YouTube.
Also. Have you got a coffee table or something that height? Lie on your back with knees bent, and lower legs resting on the coffee table. Stay there while your back muscles relax out. You can watch TV in that position, if you can put up with a sideways view.

Picking daisies, thank you, I don’t have anything that’s coffee table height, but I could pile up some things and then put my feet on there… Even some pillows? Have any of you tried ultra heat or whatever they are? They’re like heat pads or something…? Are those helpful?

Not tried those, but they sound promising. My go-to is ibuprofen gel. Pillows might work if you can get your spine in full contact with the floor and your upper and lower legs at right angles to each other like this |``` a pillow on a box or something may be better (firmer) but whatever you've got.

Where on your back and thigh is it hurting? Ie lower back, front of thigh? Either way most stretching can be done just on the floor or on a chair. Lying on your back with your knees pressed against your chest and gently rolling side to side could help ease the pain. Your thigh hurting is most likely a byproduct of the back pain - maybe try releasing your bum muscles by doing this: cdn-prod.medicalnewstoday.com/content/images/articles/317/317920/woman-doing-a-seated-hip-stretch.jpg
Do it by trying to push your head towards ankle, mid calf then knee, stopping 30 seconds at each point. Repeat several times a day.

I describe the pain to my friend and she said it’s probably sciatica. It was so bad I had to use crutches yesterday, today it’s a fraction of a tiny bit better, but still very painful. I’m having to shuffle as I walk. I don’t have anything here like a hot water bottle, or tiger balm or anything… I tried taking an ibuprofen last night. That’s all I have though.
