Decided if AF comes, may take a month rest as feel because of lockdown I am getting to fixated on it as there is nothing else to distract me except for a 18 month old going loony indoors

Rainbow1991 · 05/04/2020 23:22

@popcorndiva I think that's half the problem. Because we have been confined to our homes. It's so difficult not to focus and overthink on TTC!

Luckily I've been in work today. So that's taken my mind off it, that is until I've got home. And where I could really do with a large G&T I feel like I shouldn't have one... just incase 😩

sojo44 · 06/04/2020 08:03

Hi 👋

I think I'm 6DPO, boobs are definitely a bit sore but I think it's more to do with progesterone than any preggo symptoms.

Got quite low expectations of seeing a positive this cycle, maybe it's just cos we've been trying for a while, so it's easier not to get my hopes up as why would this cycle be any different. Definitely don't "feel" pregnant.

How's everyone passing the time today?

Lily2020 · 06/04/2020 09:09

Hi everyone!

8dpo here & yes I am stupid enough to have tested this morning & obviously got a bfp 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm my own worst enemy!
My only 'symptom' is that I am all of a sudden fat 🤣 think this is to do with lockdown comfort eating & doing sweet f all !

Hope you're all ok!

Hi everyone, welcome to the newbies posting. I have my fingers crossed for you all!
@Lily2020 I did exactly what you've done 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 - 8DPO like yourself and did a cheapie and of course BFN! ... not even sure why I did it. But now I've convinced myself it's all over.. it could even be possible that implantation ( if it's meant to happen) hasn't even taken place yet.
Oh to be TCC! What it does to your mind eh?

Cloudmtb · 06/04/2020 10:12

@Lily2020 @Rainbow1991 Also potentially 8dpo and so close to doing a test this morning! Only 5 days until AF is due which makes it more tempting. Every morning I tell myself I can take a test tomorrow to make the wait seem shorter.

Have a few light cramps (which is most likely diet or af) but otherwise feel normal.

Lily2020 · 06/04/2020 10:22

Just noticed I put bfp!! Absolutely not the case!! 😂

@Rainbow1991 well I can't even fib & say I won't do it again in the morning!! Help me!

@Cloudmtb that's really positive! Let us know when you go test, good in you first waiting i wish I had the patience! 😊

Hi all,

I'm 9dpo today, rested and got a BFN. It is so frustrating and not even sure why I tested?! Sad.

I had a miscarriage in January and have been TTC ever since. Hoping I'm not fully out yet after some slight symptoms although I think I'm convincing myself they are there. Lockdown is the worst thing for our TWW haha.

Hope you're all feeling more confident than I am!

dreaminghope · 06/04/2020 12:09

Oops. I meant tested!

Rainbow1991 · 06/04/2020 13:52

@Lily2020 Oh I know full well tomorrow morning I'll be doing exactly the same, and wind myself up even more. I really am my own worst enemy!

@Cloudmtb I have massive respect for you in not testing - that really is some willpower you have! Let us know how you get on when you do though!

@dreaminghope I feel your pain - its so difficult isn't it? Lockdown is definitely making things harder for us all - our minds have far more time to be panicking about symptoms that may or may not be there!
Let us know how you get on!

@popcorndiva how are you doing today lovely?

@sojo44 welcome to the crazy club of overcasting, panicking about every symptom we may or may not have! haha. How are you feeling?

@Snapper81 how are you doing today lovely?

Lottieloux · 06/04/2020 13:58

@dreaminghope Sorry for your loss🌸 I also had a mc in January and have been trying since currently 8dpo this cycle. From what I can understand getting a bfp before 10/12 dpo is rare so don’t get yourself down over it being negative yet, we’re not out till af arrives

Snapper81 · 06/04/2020 15:29

Hi everyone,
9dpo today and took a test too. BFN and now I feel poo. Thos is exactly why I told myself not to test but a box of 20 tests arrived in the post today and I couldn't resist. Event even first morning urine. Not sure what i was expecting really.
Sorry to be moany. X

popcorndiva · 06/04/2020 15:31

I am trying to hold off testing till Friday now as I know that will give me an answer either way. Still feel crampy. Checked my fitbit and my rhr has gone up but think it's too early for begore period. Looked at the last month and it is following the pattern of increasing at ovulation then dropping again now risen and plataued

popcorndiva · 06/04/2020 15:35

This is my rhr chart this month
First peak is ovulation.
Second is luteal phase

1dpo anyone else starting TWW?
sojo44 · 06/04/2020 20:07

@Rainbow1991 thank you 😊 it's always an odd two weeks isn't it, symptom spotting and trying to convince yourself it's nothing to not get your hopes up 😂 I'm doing ok, super tired today (but I think it's probably more from not getting enough sleep) how are you feeling?

7DPO tomorrow - finally going into the second week - aaahhhh!!!

Lily2020 · 07/04/2020 07:52

Another bfn for me this morning at 9dpo! 🤦🏻‍♀️
Why do I do it?

How is everybody else today?

OP posts:
popcorndiva · 07/04/2020 08:30

I stupidly took a FRER this morning at 9dpo and BFN. Might ask my DH to lock away all my tests

Cloudmtb · 07/04/2020 08:40

Ooops not so good today! My bra got really uncomfortable yesterday so I caved this morning - potentiallly 9dpo and a BFN.

I’ll see if I can make it to friday at least now!

Lily2020 · 07/04/2020 08:53

@Cloudmtb @popcorndiva haha must be something in the air this morning!

OP posts:
Rainbow1991 · 07/04/2020 08:54

Seems there’s a running theme. 9DPO too and of course, I tested and felt very deflated when it came back BFN!
I don’t know why I even expected to see this great big massive pink line!
I need mine locking away 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
Why do we do this to ourselves eh girls?

popcorndiva · 07/04/2020 09:00

I have a lockable filing cabinet so may put them in there and give DH the key

I just checked and for my DS I didn't test until 12dpo with a frer

Sembinmeier20 · 07/04/2020 09:01

Hi all!! Hope it’s okay to join in? I am 40 with a dd (9) and we finally decided to try for baby #2 in January. Not very positive as I am 40 and we struggled to get our first one. Currently 5dpo and driving myself crazy with the waiting 🤣

Lily2020 · 07/04/2020 10:57

@popcorndiva i also found out 12dpo with my 1st, going to try & hold off till then now!

@Rainbow1991 @Cloudmtb the problem is we read so many stories where people found out 7dpo on here that we think that's the norm when it really isn't!

@Sembinmeier20 hi 👋🏼 & welcome to the peeing on sticks too early club 😂

raspberryjamlove · 07/04/2020 12:49

Hi ladies I'm determined to hold off this month (famous last words) testing but I think that's because I know there's really only a slim chance of being pregnant this time. I've ordered the fermometer online to start tracking temp - do any of you do this? X

Snapper81 · 07/04/2020 13:38

@raspberryjamlove yes, I track bbt. Only started this cycle. It's a pain because you cant get put of bed for a wee if it's less than 4 hours before you take the temperature. I have a 2 year old and she wakes me up every morning between 5 and 6am and I now have to leave her calling for me whole I tale my temperature! It's only 1 minute but it goes very slowly, just waiting for the reading.
On a positive note, I've really learnt to understand how my hormones work and after my miscarriage (2 months ago today), it's great to see that I'm ovulating and have a steady rise in progesterone afyer ovulation, so I know that's not an issue for me. I would love to see an implantation sio but didnt get one this month- that would be a great way of knowing early on that you're probably pregnant.
