Coming off the pill - no periods

Hello hoping some of you may have advice / similar experience?! I came off the pill at the end of December, had my normal withdrawal bleed but have had no period since (now 3 months!), I've also lost over 1/2 stone (and as I weighed less than 9st anyway, I didn’t have loads to lose). I know they say it can take 3 months for things to return to normal after the pill, but I’ve literally had no sign of anything at all. I’ve obviously taken pregnancy tests but all negative. I’ve spoken to the doctor who’d ideally like me to have bloods taken but at the moment they’re not letting anyone ‘healthy’ go to docs / hospital because of the CV19 risk. I just feel really disappointed I guess that without the appearance of a period we can’t even really start trying 🙁 if anyone has had anything similar and has any advice I’d be so grateful!

It took 2 months for my first AF, then 6 months in total until periods became regular. Some folk get periods back straight away, others can take much longer. I'm sorry you appear to be the latter. Hopefully your body will get back to normal soon. It's hard when you want to start TTC.

Only other thing to watch might be your weight- low body weight, particularly along with lots of exercise can stop cycles altogether. I'm aiming to keep my bmi above 20, just in case that's affecting things (we've been trying for a while though).

It took me just under 3 months to get my first period then my next cycle was 2.5 months long. I've only had 2 periods since September, had no positive ovulation or pregnancy tests and was getting so frustrated and didn't think I was ovulating however I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant, despite my horribly long irregular cycles. I think it just takes some of us longer to get back to normal (though I was on it for 11yrs, since I was 14 so no idea what my 'normal' was really!). Hang in there and try not to get too deflated, it is hard I know but I'm sure you'll get there and things will be easier when all this CV is gone! X
