I'm not sure of my levels but I was diagnosed when pregnant with dd. After her I was told my levels needed to be under control I came off thyroxine for a while. Had routine bloods and was told I wouldnt conceive as levels too low. I remember sobbing to dh as we had just decided to ttc no.2. Next day I found out I was pregnant. Went on thyroxine again and closely monitored but no issues.
Dont give up!

Are you being prescribed thyroxine? Not sure if you have other medical issues but do look at agnus castus- I used it both times to regulate hormones- all linked to thyroid.

I can't remember my levels either ( sorry) but my tsh levels were borderline when i was ttc and i wasn't on thyroxine at that time. I was also exploring the possibility of ivf ( in case i couldn't conceive naturally) and consulted a fertility clinic. When i gave the consultant the print out of my blood test results she insisted that i must take thyroxine as it was "very dangerous" to conceive a child even at borderline levels. She said my tsh levels could be the reason i wasn't getting pregnant (even though i had been ttc for only about 6-7 months), and also if i did get pregnant there is a risk of having a child with development issues( can't remember the exact words she used). She wrote out a precription for thyroxine and insisted that i should start taking it immediately. Anyways, a few days later i found out that i was pregnant and i actually hadn't started taking thyroxine at that point. When i went to see my gp re. my pregnancy my gp put me on thyroxine straightaway. Unfortunately i am still on it even though i am taking a lower dosage. As much as i would like to come off it my GP has told me that i shouldn't and i am scared to stop taking it against my gp's advice. I suggest you speak to your gp and tell them that you are trying to conceive and they will advice.

My TSH was around 4/4.5 all of last year. I was exhausted, GP did nothieven after 3 CPs. Moved house and new GP in Sept. Referred to fertility clinic. I was immediately put on thyroxine (50mg) took around 12 weeks to bring TSH to under 2.5. Fell pregnant (at 40 with AMH of 1!) first cycle as soon as my thyroid levels were stable. Early days but all looking good!

There are so many threads on here about it at the moment. 4
Look for the current thread called 4th chemical. Look for threads called Optimal thyroid levels. It was the latter that educated me, directed me to the excellent Health Unlocked Thyroid forum.

Anything above 2.5 and it's either impossible to support very early pregnancy/ implantation, or can lead to all sorts of miscarriage/developmental risks. I'm now in the thyroid clinic at my maternity hospital.

Very grateful to this board for pointing me in the right direction!

Ps T4 and T3 were relatively ok.

Thank you for all the info.

I had a MC at 7 weeks in December but we had just started ttc so everyone said it was normal. Since i am putting on weight for no apparent reason (i eat normal and gym three times a week) and started being constipated also for no reason and had few other random symptoms, I looked things up and decided to check privately (as NHS wouldn’t do it) for thyroid levels.

The results were 1.70 for TSH and 11 for T4
The private GP said it was low for T4 but in certain lab 10 is still normal range i read.

She said to check again in 4 weeks to see if i require medication.

I read online about normal TSH and low T4 and the stuff is horrifying but i also don’t feel sick so i am confused :(

Will go educated myself with on the thread you recommended today!
