Ladies who took longer than 6 months to conceive

Hi ladies

Just as the title says I'd love to hear from ladies who were ttc for a while. Now I know 6 months isn't deemed a long time and it's normal to be trying for up to a year but it's hard to not get down when you've timed everything perfectly every single month. I am one of the lucky ones and I ovulate bang on cd15 every month of a 28 day cycle, so it's really disheartening when nothing happens.
I have been off contraception for 11 months but tracking for 7 months.

So any ladies out there that were timing dtd perfectly, no ovulation issues and still took a while?

It took me 17 months to conceive, I’m now 17 weeks pregnant! It will happen just stay positive Smile

Took me 14 months with dc1. DH and I were early to mid twenties, fit, teetotal, extremely clean living and timing things perfectly.

At 30, exhausted, anaemic, slightly rubbish diet, DH stressed and tired, took one night.

No reason to worry at all. 6 months is nothing.

Yes! I was 42 though and conceived at 43. About 11 or 12 cycles trying. Finally found a good egg I think!

13 months for me and I’m 25. Currently nearly 9 weeks pregnant and keeping everything crossed that this will work out.

4 years, started to think it would never happen - late 20s dtd frequently - then discovered I was pregnant with twins, so don't give up hope.

We realised we'd barely been near each other the month I conceived due to illness, work, weekends away … managed to dtd just once!! It's all so odd how things work out.

9 months with dd1, 15 months with dd2. No issues (gp sent us for the first set of tests after we'd been trying for a year) just took a lot longer than we would have liked.

Took us 9 months of trying to conceive DS1, he's now 2 and a a half and we've been trying for 9 months for number 2 with no success yet. I'm also fairly regular cycle wise, which I agree does make it a bit frustrating! Just going with it for the moment, DS1 keeps me busy enough to keep my mind off it most the time!

It's crazy because I am the healthiest I've ever been, my OH is super healthy we take all the vitamins under the sun lol and I conceived years ago when I was so unhealthy and 8 stone heavier, literally straight away?!! It's so weird how things happen honestly

It took me 8 months to conceive my first pregnancy then 8 months to conceive my current pregnancy. DH and I both had fertility tests and we are very fertile. It's just down to luck and the sperm finding the egg!
